Australia Day Photography Competition 2011
The Kentish Australia Day Photography Competition is open to all residents within the Kentish Municipality.
Photographs are to express "What Australia Day means to me." A caption of no more than 20 words explaining how the photograph represents Australia Day may accompany the photograph.
The competition has three age categories; primary school age student, secondary school age student and an open category.
There are great prizes up for grabs so send your entries to 'Australia Day Photography Competition', Kentish Council, PO Box 63, Sheffield Tas 7306 or hand deliver to the Council Office at 69 High Street, Sheffield no later than 4:00pm on Monday, 17th January, 2011. Entry forms are available from the Council Office or the website

Australia Day Photography Competition Entry Form and Conditions
Conditions of Entry
1. Entry must be a photographic image expressing âWhat Australia Day means to meâ. A caption of no more than 20 words explaining this may accompany the works.
2. Entry is free.
3. Entrants must reside in the Kentish Municipality.
4. All photographs must be submitted with a signed entry form.
5. Entries must be received no later than 4pm Monday 17th January 2011. Please forward entries to âAustralia Day Photography Competitionâ, Kentish Council, PO Box 63, SHEFFIELD TAS 7306 or hand deliver to the Council Office, 69 High Street, Sheffield.
6. Photographs may be submitted in print only. Entries submitted in digital format will not be considered.
7. Photographs are to be no larger than 6â x 8â in size.
8. Only 2 entries per person will be accepted.
9. Kentish Council reserves the right to reject any entry on the grounds that subject or method of production is considered unsuitable.
10. Kentish Council will take reasonable care of photographs but takes no responsibility for damage, theft, or loss. Insurance for items is the responsibility of the entrant.
11. The Judgesâ decision is final and binding. No correspondence or discussions will be entered into.
12. Items may be photographed and publicised for promotional purposes.
13. Photographs will be displayed at the Kentish Community Australia Day Celebrations on Wednesday 26th January 2011 from 8am to 10am then displayed in the Kentish Council Office until Monday 14th February 2011. Photographs may be collected from the Council Office after this date.
14. Winners will be announced at the Kentish Community Australia Day Celebrations to be held Wednesday 26th January 2011. Entrants and families are most welcome to attend. An official invitation will be forwarded.
