Long before Justin Bieber, Cliff Richard was known as the Peter Pan of Pop.
And while questions about the forever single Richard’s sexuality have long been asked, no answer has every been forthcoming.
But that hasn’t stopped him earning a legion of fans in his 50-plus years in show business.
To celebrate his 70th birthday Sir Cliff – yes he is 70 and yes, he has been knighted by the Queen – performed a collection of his greatest hits at London’s Royal Albert Hall in a show known as Bold As Brass.
Accompanied by a swing band, conducted by Grammy Award-winning Michael Omartian and including some of the Nashville musicians who played on his album of the same name, Cliff’s performance features some of the greatest hits from his career along with such timeless classics as I’ve Got You Under My Skin and Fly Me To The Moon, and presents yet another dimension of his remarkable musical versatility.
