Attend the Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference and Trade Exhibition (APP) 2011 for 5 chances to win 5 Holidays valued at AU$5,000 each, thanks to eRX, FindaPharmacy.com.au and Mirixa.

Pharmacists, pharmacy staff, pre-registration/pharmacy students and industry representatives have the opportunity to enter all 5 draws to win a holiday by simply filling out the entry form available at the computer terminals in the lounge area of the Trade Exhibition during the designated competition times.

The competition opens at the Conference Welcome Reception on Friday 18 March, with conference delegates able to submit one entry, per person, per competition until the last competition draw on Sunday 20 March.

Terms and Conditions

PROMOTION
The Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference and Trade Exhibition will be held from 17-20 March 2011 at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre.

As part of the event, The Pharmacy Guild of Australia is holding a 5 Holidays, 5 Chances to WIN competition. Entry is only available onsite in the trade exhibition area at the Conference and is open to Pharmacists, Pharmacy Staff, Pre-Reg/Students, and Industry Representatives who attend the Conference or the Trade Exhibition. APP2011 exhibitors and sponsors (including their staff) are ineligible to enter the competition.

HOW TO ENTER
Eligible attendees must complete an electronic entry form, which can be accessed from the computer terminals in the Trade Exhibition at APP2011 from 18-20 March 2011. Attendees must complete and submit their entry using the computer terminals to be eligible to win. Only one entry, per person, per draw is permitted.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Entry is open only to Pharmacists, Pharmacy Staff, Pre-Reg/Students and Industry Representatives residing in Australia, who are over the age of 18 years. APP2011 exhibitors and sponsors (including their staff) are ineligible to enter the competition.

3. Entry in the competition is only available at the APP Conference and Trade Exhibition (APP) 2011 through the designated computer terminals set up for the purpose of entry in the competition.

4. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating APP exhibitors and sponsors and other related companies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.

5. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.

6. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the
Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

7. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

8. The promotion commences at 5:30pm AEDST on 18/03/2011 and concludes at 3:30pm AEDST on 20/03/2011.

9. The five draws will take place at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre (GCCEC), Cnr
Gold Coast Highway & TE Peters Drive, Broadbeach QLD 4218 on:

• 18/03/2011 at 8:15pm AEDST
• 19/03/2011 at 1:00pm AEDST
• 19/03/2011 at 5:00pm AEDST
• 20/03/2011 at 1:00pm AEDST
• 20/03/2011 at 3:30pm AEDST

10. Only one entry, per person, per draw is permitted. The database will be re-set after each draw takes place.

11. The winner will be notified by writing and phone within five (5) days of the draw. The prize winner will be published in the Public Notices section of The Australian on Wednesday 24 March 2011.

12. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

13. Total competition prize pool is valued up to AU$25,000. Prize values are correct at time of printing.

14. The first valid entry of each draw will win a Flight Centre Travel Voucher valued at AU$5,000 each. The Flight Centre Travel Voucher is valid for 12 months between 1 March 2011 and 29 February 2012. Redemption of the Flight Centre Travel Voucher is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuer including those specified on each Flight Centre Travel Voucher. The winner must travel on any of the brochure Flight Centre trips on any of the seven continents (subject to availability) between 1 March 2011 and 29 February 2012. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Flight Centre Travel Vouchers are not included. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

15. The winner/s (and their companion/s) is/are responsible for all other expenses including spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, taxes (including departure taxes), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

16. Once prizes have left the Promoter’s premises, the Promoter takes no responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.

17. If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

18. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take the prize or an element of the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited. The winner has three months from the date of the draw in which to collect the prize.

19. If any of the prizes have not been claimed within three months of the initial draw, a second draw will be held at 12:00pm on Monday 11 July 2011 at 132 Leichhardt Street, Spring Hill QLD subject to any written directions given by the relevant state lottery regulators. The unclaimed winner(s) will be notified in writing and their name will be published in the Public Notices section of The Australian on Wednesday 13 July 2011.

20. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.


21. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

22. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize.

23. Independent advice recommended - Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting a prize.

24. Release may be required - It is a condition of accepting a prize that the winner may be required to sign all release and exclusion of liability in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.

25. Privacy - By entering and providing your contact details you consent to receiving electronic newsletters from the Promoter and materials about the Promoter’s services. All entrants will be given the opportunity to opt out if they do not wish to receive future communications. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

26. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or in the case of a force majeure event (including but not limited to vandalism, a power failure, tempest, terrorism, industrial action or an act of God), the Promoter may in its absolute discretion, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, disqualify any entrant or modify, suspend or cancel the promotion as appropriate.
