Smalltown girl Ali (Christina Aguilara) moves to the big city and finds work at a struggling Burlesque theatre owned by retired dancer Tess (Cher). Starting off as a waitress Ali soon lets it be known that there’s more to her than just a pretty face when her big voice attracts the attentions of Tess. Encouraged by the theatre’s crew Ali takes centre stage, but will it be enough to save the theatre from being bought out by a wealthy businessman? Presented by Sony, opens January 13.
