Early childhood professionals now have the opportunity to participate in a new Professional Learning Program (PLP) that will help them better understand and implement the EYLF and provide ongoing support to services as they engage in the EYLF implementation process.

The EYLF Professional Learning Program (PLP) has five elements:

1. EYLF professional learning full-day workshops across urban and regional Australia delivered by early childhood experts with high level knowledge and practical experience—scheduled for 2011.
2. An EYLF PLP online Forum where issues arising in practice are raised in supported professional conversation.
3. Regular e-Newsletters which provide information about how educators are engaging with the EYLF across a range of settings. Sign-up for these free e-Newsletters.
4. A set of online EYLF Master Class video presentations for use by services with staff.
5. A series of film vignettes which capture effective practice in relation to the EYLF and provide stimulus for staff discussion.
The purpose of this survey is to gather information about the needs and preferences of the individuals attending the EYLF PLP full–day Workshops. This information will help Early Childhood Australia tailor the content and delivery of the Workshops so that those attending get the most out of it.
