Terms and Conditions

By entering the Win 3 nights at Castaways Resort & Spa with a 1 hour treatment, plus, a 14,000ft skydive and a full day of white water rafting at Tully river promotion you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

1. PRIZES
1.1. There is One (1) prize to be won. The prize is: 1 major prize of 3 nights at Castaways Resort & Spa with a 1 hour treatment, plus, a 14,000ft skydive and a full day of white water rafting at Tully river.
1.2. The first (1) entrant drawn will be deemed the winner of the prize
1.3. Unclaimed prizes will be kept by The Cairns Post for no more than three months from the day the winner is drawn
1.4. Where any prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal value at the publishing date.

2. HOW TO ENTER
2.1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
2.2. The competition commences on Saturday, January 22nd at 00.01 (AEST) and concludes on Friday, February 4th at 17:00 ("the Competition Period")
2.3. In order to enter the competition entrants must visit www.cairns.com.au/competitions and enter their details into the corresponding competition.
2.4. Each entrant who has entered the competition over the Competition Period and registered all details in accordance with the competition will be entered into the prize draws. All draws will take place at The Cairns Post Pty Ltd, 22-24 Abbott Street, Cairns, Queensland, 4870.
2.5. At times a third party promotional partner will be involved in the promotion. As part of the Terms & Conditions of entry you agree to receive promotional emails from the competition’s third party.
2.6. The winner/s may be announced in The Cairns Post. The prize winners will be notified by email/phone and their name/s will appear at www.cairns.com.au/competitions.
2.7. The Promoter's decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
2.8. Entrants (including winners) in the competition may enter as many times as they like. On occasion entry will be limited to one entry per email address.

3. WHO CAN ENTER?
3.1. Entry is open all Australian residents over the age of 18 and you must be able to show upon request proof of age and residency.
3.2. Employees and their immediate families of The Cairns Post Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and third party competition companies are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.

4. NO LIABILITY
4.1. In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter's ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to State Legislation.
4.2. The Cairns Post Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail, which are not as a result of fault of the Promoter.
4.3. The Cairns Post Pty Ltd and its affiliates assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
4.4. If, for any reason, this competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to State Legislation.
