Win an Escape for 4 to Noosa Competition

1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.

2. Entry is open only to all residents of Australia aged 18 years or over who satisfy the entry requirements stated in term 8.

3. The Promoter is News Magazines Pty Ltd. Employees of News Magazine and their advertising agencies, newsagents, subagents, respective employees and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.

4. Promotion commences 12:01am (AEST) on Friday 20th May 2011 and closes 11.59pm (AEST) on Tuesday 28th June 2011 (promotional period) and the entries will be judged from 12:00pm Friday 1st July 2011 at News Magazines, 170-180 Bourke Road, Alexandria, NSW, 2015. All times referred to in these conditions are all Australian Eastern Standard Time. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges from News Magazines. This competition is a game of skill, so chance plays no part in determining the winner.

5. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. If a prize is unclaimed, an unclaimed prize draw will be held at 12:00pm (AEST) on Monday 3rd October 2011 at News Magazines, 170-180 Bourke Road, Alexandria, NSW, 2015, subject to any written directions given by the relevant state Lottery and Gaming Regulators, the winner will be notified by phone and also in writing within 14 days of the judging.

7.  To enter, Participants must answer in 25 words or less “why you would like to visit Noosa” by:
- SMS: 19 919 902 (SMS cost 55c inc. GST) and include their answer, name and address.
Or;
- Mail:  to Noosa Escape Promotion, Country Style magazine, Locked Bag 5030, Alexandria, NSW 2015, and include their answer, name, address and daytime telephone number.

8.  There is 1 prize of an escape to Noosa to be won. The prize package includes;
a.  4 nights’ luxury accommodation in the 4.5-star The Pavilion for four guests, with a daily gourmet breakfast. Valued at $3,000.
b.  4 airfares from the nearest capital city to Brisbane (or Sunshine Coast, depending on availability and direct flights). Valued at $3,400
c.  Dinner for 4 to the value of $200 at Berardo’s bistro on the Beach. Valued at $200
d.  Relaxing Balinese day spa experience for 4. Valued at $400

9. Total prize pool valued up to $7,000.00.

11. This prize package may not be combined with any other voucher or offer.

12. Travel documentation, including travel insurance, additional accommodation, spending money and all other ancillary costs are the prize winner’s responsibility. Frequent Flyer points are not applicable.

13. This offer is valid until 1st September 2011.

14. Airfares and accommodation is subject to availability at time of booking, excluding peak periods, public and school holidays.

15. Bookings can only be made and confirmed within 60 days of intended travel date     

16. Prize is not transferable and has no cash value.

17. The time of entry will in all cases be the time the entry is received by the database at Salmat.

18. Entries without the required information will be deemed incomplete and will not count towards an entry into the Promotion.

19. Entrants confirm and promise that their entry is original and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

20. Prize value is accurate at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize. All prize values
are in Australian dollars.

21. Winners must take the prize as offered. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements.

22. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or great value if the prize is for some reason unavailable subject to gaming authority approval.

23. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter.

24. The Promoter and Salmat are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by you or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of the competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.

25. The Promoter and Salmat are not responsible for lost, late, incomprehensible or incorrect entries in the competition. We also accept no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from prize winnings in the competition.  You should seek Independent financial advice about such matters.

26. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or (without limitation) any other event outside our reasonable control, we are entitled to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition - subject to any written directions from the various regulatory bodies responsible for supervising the conduct of the competition (the Lotteries Departments).

27. If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, we are entitled in our sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and (subject to any written directions given by the various Lotteries Departments), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.

28. The winners release the Promoter from any and all causes of action, losses, liability, damage, expense (including legal expenses) cost or charge suffered, sustained or in any way incurred by the winner as a result of any loss or damage to any physical property of the winner, or any injury to or death of any person arising out of, or related to, or in any way connected with the Promoters or the prize.

29. In the event of a third party other than the promoter canceling any event related to this prize, the Promoter cannot be held responsible.

30. The winner agrees to participate in any news media activities surrounding the promotion.

31. Entrants’ details may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation.

32.
