Harvest Table competition
Conditions of entry for Country Style Harvest Table Competition
1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.
2. Entry is open to Australian schools & Australian residents up to the age of 18
3. The Promoter is News Magazines Pty Ltd. Employees of News Magazine and their advertising agencies, newsagents, subagents, respective employees and their immediate families are ineligible to enter the individual student’s school journal.
4. Promotion commences 00:01 (AEST) on Wednesday 25th May 2011 and closes 23.59pm (AEST) on Monday 3rd October 2011 (promotional period) and the entries will be judged from 10:00am Tuesday 11th October 2011 at News Magazines, 170-180 Bourke Road, Alexandria, NSW, 2015. All times referred to in these conditions are all Australian Eastern Standard Time. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges from News Magazines. The ‘Best Class or School Harvest Table’ and ‘The Best Home Harvest Table Journal’ competitions are a game of skill, so chance plays no part in determining the winner. The winners of both competitions will be notified by phone and also in writing within 7 days of the judging.
5. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. If a prize is unclaimed, an unclaimed prize draw will be held at 12:00pm (AEST) on Monday 14th November 2011 at News Magazines, 170-180 Bourke Road, Alexandria, NSW, 2015. The winners of both competitions will be notified by phone and also in writing within 7 days of the judging.
7. To enter: a. For Best Class or School Harvest Table provide photographs and a description of the table in 200 words or less, along with the school and the class name, contact name, address and phone number. Photographs will not be able to be returned. b, For Best Home Harvest Table Journal, provide the journal on their vegetable patch (their own or their schools) along with the adult and child’s name, address and telephone number. Journals will not be able to be returned.

8. There is 1 prize for Best Class or School Harvest Table . The prize is a cheque for $5000 which will be issued to the school.
9. There is 1 prize for Best Home Harvest Table Journal. The prize is an iPad2 for an individual.
10. Total prize pool is valued up to $5500.
11. The Ipad 2 is not transferable for cash.
12. Entries without the required information will be deemed incomplete and will not count towards an entry into the Promotion.
13. Entrants confirm and promise that their entry is original and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
14. Prize value is accurate at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize. All prize values are in Australian dollars.
15. Winners must take the prize as offered.
16. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or great value if the prize is for some reason unavailable subject to gaming authority approval.
17. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter.
18. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by you or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of the competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
19. The Promoter is not responsible for lost, late, incomprehensible or incorrect entries in the competition. We also accept no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from prize winnings in the competition. You should seek Independent financial advice about such matters.
20. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or (without limitation) any other event outside our reasonable control, we are entitled to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
21. If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, we are entitled in our sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
22. The winners release the Promoter from any and all causes of action, losses, liability, damage, expense (including legal expenses) cost or charge suffered, sustained or in any way incurred by the winner as a result of any loss or damage to any physical property of the winner, or any injury to or death of any person arising out of, or related to, or in any way connected with the Promoters or the prize.
23. In the event of a third party other than the promoter canceling any event related to this prize, the Promoter cannot be held responsible.
24. The winner, class and school agree to participate in any news media activities surrounding the promotion.
