'WIN A TRIP TO JAPAN’ TERMS AND CONDITIONSThe promoter of the Travelplan Ski, ‘Win a Trip to Japan’ competition is Travelplan Australia Pty Ltd ABN 96 001 024 344.
Promotion starts 20 June 2011 and ends on 5 December 2011.Prize draw will take place at noon on Tuesday 6 December 2011.
Entry is free, subject to the conditions below.
1. To enter, register your details via the entry form located online
2. Only one valid entry per person is allowed. Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
3. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
4. A computer generated prize draw will take place on the 6th of December, 2011. All valid entries close at 11:59pm 5 December 2011. Draw will take place at Travelplan Australia Pty Ltd 118 Edinburgh Rd, Castlecrag NSW 2068.
5. Total prize is valued at $4986 and consists of 2 x return economy airfares to Sapporo ex Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. 2 x 6 day Niseko all mountain lift passes, 7 nights studio accommodation for 2 staying at Youtei Tracks Apartments and return Sapporo airport transfers for 2 courtesy of SkyBus. If the prize-winner and their companion are from a regional area, travel arrangements to and from the nearest capital city airport do not form part of the prize and are the responsibility of the winner.
6. Flights and accommodation are subject to availability at the time of booking and embargo periods. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for other destinations. There will be no credit given if the full value of prize is not utilised.
7. Prize does not include airline and departure taxes, airport service fees or any other travel related charges or taxes.
8. The prize is valid for travel on selected dates between 1 March 2012 and 30 April 2012. If the prize is not utilised by 30 April 2012 it will be forfeited.
9. No spending money is included in prize.
10. The winner and their travelling companion are responsible for all other expenses including but not limited to meals (unless specified), incidentals, tips, service charges, spending money, travel insurance, airport taxes, visas and all transfers other than those specified. Travel insurance is not included in the prize and will be the responsibility of the winner. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
11. Promoter shall not be responsible for any consequential loss, damage, injury or death sustained during the course of taking the prize.
12. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to opt out, access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
14. During the entire duration of the prize, a nominated parent/guardian must accompany any person under 18 years of age.
15. A draw for an unclaimed or unwanted prize may take place at noon on 15 December 2012. In the event the prize is awarded in the unclaimed prize draw the winners details will be published on the Travelplan website, on 19 December 2011.
16. The winner and their companion must travel at the same time and flights and accommodation must be taken at the date and time as specified by the Promoter. If a winner and travelling companion are, for whatever reason, unable to travel on a nominated date, or do not take an element of the prize within the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize or element thereof. Winner must request travel dates by 22 December 2011.
17. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winners must comply with all of the conditions of use of the prize and the prizes requirements.
18. The prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of service providers.
19. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
20. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
21. To the full extent permitted by the law, the promoters exclude liability for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including, but not limited to direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage, loss of opportunity, revenue or profit) arising directly or indirectly out of or in conjunction with this promotion.
22. It is the responsibility of the winner to enquire about local issues and conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. International advice can be obtained from various sources, including local government, local consular offices and the website of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Compliance with any heath or any other government requirement is the responsibility of the prize winner.
23. Winner will be notified by telephone and/or email with all details published on the Travelplan website, on or by 8 December 2011.
