THE GIFT OF ONE YEAR
We can change our life dramatically in one year….we just need to be proactive…Stop thinking about it and just start doing it….we believe that travel can unlock those unknown desires and enable you to rediscover yourself and become the person you have always wanted to become…
We were inspired by the book “a gift of a year by Mira Kirshenbaum” to help people uncover their dreams and aspirations….we are running a competition, and the main prize is a mystery – however we can tell you that you will love it. Why enter a competition when you don’t know what the main prize is I hear you asking…
Well here is why
- To create a surprise
- So that you enter the competition with passion and enthusiasm, we don’t want flakey and untrue stories – we want the real deal as real people will be reading the stories and hopefully you may change someones life in a small way
- To challenge you to take a risk and try something new and random
- To keep you guessing
Besides the main prize we will be giving away smaller prizes every now and then during the competition and we will be posting winners and prizes on facebook (so you can keep up to date with what we are doing)
What we are asking for is short stories(no more than one page) on how you plan to change your life in one year and why – it doesn’t have to be some magnificent plan, it just has to be real…We want to inspire readers of the stories to make positive changes through your ideas and stories….Even if one person makes a small positive change through your story it will be worth the effort – you have made a difference. For ideas on what we are looking for make sure you quickly read the book extract below. Even though the book is written for women we encourage men to send in stories as well….
We will create a facebook album with your stories along with a blog so that the stories are read by many people.
How we judge the small prize winners and the main winner will be a combination of facebook likes, opinions, comments and our general opinion.
This is a competition to inspire you to look at your own life and in return maybe make a small change in someone elses.
