A slice of not to be missed cult 1970’s British telly arrives on DVD this month in the shape of the fabulous 8 part series The Hanged Man and thanks to the great folk at Madman we have five copies of the two disc set to give away!
Colin Blakely plays high powered businessman Lew Burnett who, following several attempts on his life, decides to fake his own death in order to find out just what is going on. Initially out to bring him to justice, spy Alan Crowe (played by Michael Williams) ends up being completely on Lew’s side. It’s a thrilling mix of spy drama and skullduggery with brilliant performances and a great atmosphere.
It’s a two disc set and there are 8 episodes altogether, it also features the likes of a young Jane Seymour, Julian Glover and Frederick Jaeger. Exceptional drama. Extras include an extensive image gallery. A bit of trivia for you too – the rather groovy jazzy theme tune would go on to be reused on The Two Ronnies for their Charlie Farley and Piggy Malone serials.
Our competition runs until July 31, 2011. To be in with a chance to win one of five DVD’s of The Hanged Man all you have to do is
