Some of the most revered names in dance from around the world will take to the stage for Spring Dance 2011: Sydney Opera House’s annual season of dance, featuring the UK’s DV8 Physical Theatre, Alain Platel’s les ballets C de la B and flamenco superstar Israel Galván - just to name a few. The influence of the late German choreographer, Pina Bausch, provides an overarching aesthetic for this year’s festival. As a tribute the Bausch’s unique vision, Spring Dance presents a program of talks and films to celebrate her enduring genius.
