1. The Promoter is Suncorp Metway Insurance Limited ABN 83 075 695 966, of Level 18 Suncorp Centre, 36 Wickham Terrace, Brisbane, QLD 4000 (the “Promoter”).
2. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions. Entry into the Suncorp Win a Holden Captiva 7 Promotion (Promotion) is deemed to be an acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. Entry is only open to residents of Queensland aged 18 or over (Eligible Entrants).
4. Employees of the Promoter, Suncorp authorised representatives and agencies associated with this Promotion and their immediate family are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
5. The Promotion starts at 12.01am (EST) on 01/08/2011 and ends at 11.59pm (EST) on 30/11/2011 (“Promotion Period”).
6. To enter the Promotion, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotion Period, provide the Promoter with a future date of renewal for a Motor Vehicle (including a car, 4WD, motorcycle, utility or van up to 2 tonnes carrying capacity) policy (excluding a CTP policy), a Home and/or Contents policy, or a Boat, Caravan or Trailer policy with an authorised Australian insurer other than the Promoter (“Eligible Future Date of Renewal”), and their name and their contact telephone number by:
(a) Visiting the Promoter’s website (suncorp.com.au/captiva) and following the instructions to provide the details of their Eligible Future Date of Renewal, their name and contract details; or
(b) Telephoning the Promoter on 1800 729 246 and following the instructions of the Promoter’s consultant, including providing details of their Eligible Future Date of Renewal, their name and contact details.
7. The maximum cost of a call to 1800 729 246 will not exceed the cost of a local call when the call is made from a landline in Queensland. Calls from mobile phones or pay phones may attract a higher rate. Cost of entry via the internet is free, but internet connection and usage rates may apply – Eligible Entrant’s should obtain details of such costs from their service providers.
8. Limit of
one entry for each Eligible Future Date of Renewal submitted. For the sake of clarity, an Eligible Entrant cannot submit the same Eligible Future Date of Renewal more than once during the Promotion Period (regardless of whether an alternative method of entry is used) and any such entries will be excluded from the Prize Draw.
9. Entries via the internet will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission. Incomplete, inaudible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid.
10. All valid entries received during the Promotion Period will be entered into the Prize draw. The Prize draw will take place at the premises of the Promoter at Level 27 Brisbane Square 266 George St, Brisbane 4000 at 3pm AEST on Wednesday 14th December 2011.
An Eligible Entrant does not need to be in attendance at the Prize Draw in order to win the Prize.11.
The first valid entry drawn in the Prize draw will win a new 2011 Holden Series II Captiva 7 CX AWD with 6-speed automatic transmission and Active Select valued at $42,672 (including GST) recommended retail price drive away - including QLD dealer delivery, stamp duty, 12 months Queensland registration & 12 months Suncorp CTP Insurance with Metallic paint option included (the “Prize”). The winner will be able to choose the colour of the Prize dependant on stock availability at the time. Total Prize pool for the Promotion is $42,672.12. The winner will be notified by telephone and mail by 31 December 2011.
13. Any tax liability arising as a result of accepting the Prize is the responsibility of the winner.

The Prize will be delivered to the winner’s nearest Queensland Holden dealership for collection at the cost of the Winner. The Winner must provide proof of identity and a valid driver’s license to collect the Prize. The Promoter will use its best endeavours to make the Prize available to the winner within 28 days of the draw.
15. The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable for another prize including cash.
16. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence). Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
17. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who it has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
18. If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate.
19. If for any reason the Prize is unclaimed for 80 days the Promoter may conduct a further draw at the same place as the original Prize draw at 3pm 3 months from the original Prize draw date in order to distribute the unclaimed Prize. Any unclaimed Prize winner will be notified by telephone and by mail.
20. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter and its related bodies corporate (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following:
any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control);
any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
any tax liability incurred by the winner or entrant; or
use of the Prize.
21. The Promoter's decision in relation to any aspect of the Promotion is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
22. Privacy Statement: All entries become the property of the Promoter and entrant's personal details will be stored at the Promoter's address. By entering this Promotion, the entrant understands and agrees that the Promoter collects their personal information in order to conduct the Promotion as well as obtain information about the entrant’s insurance arrangements. The entrant also understands and agrees that the primary purpose of collecting information about the entrant’s insurance arrangements is to enable the Promoter to contact the entrant at a later date (by any means including but not limited to telephone, mail, SMS) to market and promote its products and services to the entrant. If the information requested is not provided, or the entrant does not consent to their personal information being used for these purposes, the entrant may not participate in the Promotion. By entering this Promotion, the entrant understands and agrees that the Promoter may disclose the information provided by the entrant to the State lottery department (if necessary), publish the winner’s name as required under relevant lottery legislation (if necessary), as well as use the information for further promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. An entrant’s personal information is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available at

If the entrant would like to access or correct the personal information that the Promoter holds about the entrant, or if the entrant does not wish the information to be used or disclosed in this way (after this Promotion is finalised), the entrant should advise the Promoter by calling 13 11 55.
