Hopscotch FilmsMirandaLast year we had series one of this very popular award winning comedy program.
Miranda played by Miranda Hart returns for series two of this farcial, BBC comedy which follows on from series one.
Miranda is struggling to get over her love interest Gary who has gone to Hong Kong,
So, instead of wallowing in self pity, Miranda decides to reinvented herself into the kind of woman who can powerwalk to work, who can manage to keep her pot plants alive, and who doesn’t have a fruit bowl full of rotting fruit, because she will eat them.
Her mother is still hell bent on getting her married off to any man that passes by. In the meantime her friends still point out where she is going wrong.
If you havent caught up with Miranda before, I’m sure you will enjoy this very funny commedienne who is such a character with her warmth , humor and total clumsiness.
Incendies The Academy Award nominated film ‘Incendies’ is an incredibly powerful film that unfolds in such unique and unexpected ways.
At the reading of their mother Nawal’s will, twin siblings Jeanne and Simon learn for the first time that they have a brother, and their father, who they thought was dead is in fact alive.
Their mother’s final wish is that the twins find them both and deliver certain sealed letters.
Shifting back and forth in time,’ Incendies ‘follows two parallel journeys, the twins journey to their mother’s Middle – Eastern homeland to unlock the past, and Nawal’s [ their mother ] journey some twenty years earlier to find the baby boy she was forced to give up. Both journeys shine an unsettling light on Nawal’s past and culminate in a shocking final revelation.
I found it hard to grasp at first just what this film was all about; it is an extraordinary story that has mutiple revelations, that unless you pay attention to, you may find hard to understand .
It is also a deeply disturbing film that could leave you feeling quite uncomfortable .
Runs for approx 130 mins With Sub Titles.
