SUNCORP INSURANCE MUST-HAVE SAFER QLD ROADS DAILY FUEL VOUCHER COMPETITION – ‘Which basic road rule do you wish other road users would follow more often and why?’
Terms & Conditions
1. This competition (“Competition”) is conducted by Suncorp Metway Insurance Limited ABN 83 075 695 966 of Suncorp Centre, Level 18 36 Wickham Terrace, Brisbane QLD 4000 (“Promoter”). This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
2. Entry to the Competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter form part of these terms and conditions.
3. The Competition is only open to individuals who: (i) are residents of Australia aged 17 years or older as at the time of entry; (ii) have a Facebook account; (iii) have an Australian driver’s licence; and (iv) are not directors, management or employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, their retailers, suppliers, associated companies and agencies (“Eligible Entrant”).
4. The Competition commences at 12:00pm 07/11/11 AEST and closes at 11:59pm AEST on 18/11/11
5. There is one (1) prize to be won during each of the following twenty (20) entry periods, each an “Entry Period”:

6. Except as otherwise indicated, all amounts stated in these conditions are stated in Australian dollars.
ENTRY
7. To enter the Competition an Eligible Entrant must, during an Entry Period, (i) use a compatible browser to visit
http://www.facebook.com/MustHaveSaferQldRoads (“Competition Website”); (ii) following the instructions on the Competition Website, complete the required details (including name, phone number and email address) and a
nswer the question ‘Which basic road rule do you wish other road users would follow more often and why?’; and (iii) once complete, submit and click the Facebook allow button as prompted. This will permit the Promoter to access the entrant’s basic information (including name, gender and email address). Information provided will be captured by the Promoter and not Facebook.
8. Cost of entry via the internet is free, but internet connection and usage rates may apply – Eligible Entrants should obtain details of such costs from their service provider.
9. The Promoter reserves the right to remove entries deemed inappropriate at its sole discretion. The Promoter also reserves the right to disqualify entrants at its sole discretion for reasons that may or may not be disclosed to the disqualified entrant.
10. Entry is limited to one entry per day per person. Each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with these terms and conditions.
11. Entries must be received during an Entry Period. The Promoter takes no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, illegible or misdirected entries or for any delays or failures in telecommunications service or equipment.
12. Entrants must submit their entries manually. The Promoter may reject entries if it reasonably forms the opinion that they have been entered using automated entry means or by use of a competition entry service.
PRIZES AND WINNERS
13. The Competition is a game of skill in which chance plays no part.
14. The prize is a $50 Caltex fuel card (“Prize”). The total prize pool is valid at $1000 including GST.
15. The Prize will expire two years from the date of issue. Any unused balance will not be refunded or credited when the Prize expires. The Prize can only be used at fuel stations that accept the Caltex fuel card.
16. The prize is not redeemable for cash and is not transferable.
17. Entries to the competition will be judged by the Marketing & PR Team of the Promoter. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary merit and thoughtfulness of the response to the question, ‘Which basic road rule do you wish other road users would follow more often and why?’ during that Entry Period.
18. The Promoter will notify each winner via the email address provided with their entry.
19. Each winner will forfeit the Prize if s/he does not claim the Prize by contacting the Promoter within 48 hours of it being offered to the winner.
GENERAL
20. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's identity, age, place of residence and driver’s licence). Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion.
21. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who it has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
22. If this Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition, as appropriate.
23. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any tax liability incurred by the winner or entrant; or (e) use of the Prize.
24. The Promoter's decision in relation to any aspect of the Competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
25. All entries become the property of the Promoter and entrant's personal details will be stored at the Promoter's address. The winner’s personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments as required by law. The Promoter may also use and disclose personal information for the purpose of conducting this Competition and providing entrants with information concerning its range of financial products and services. Entry is conditional on providing this information.
26. An entrant’s personal information is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available at
www.suncorp.com.au or by calling 13 11 55. If the entrant would like to access or correct the personal information that the Promoter holds about the entrant, or if the entrant does not wish the information to be used or disclosed in this way (after this Competition is finalised), the entrant should advise the Promoter by calling 13 11 55.
