Is the barbecue your domain when the warmer weather arrives? Have you perfected the art of barbecuing a beef steak? Does the sizzle of the grill unleash your creative juices and get you thinking about the best barbecued beef rubs, marinades and sauces?
If this sounds like you, we challenge you to bring your beef BBQ skills to the table!
WHAT: Simply create your own BBQ recipe with a beef scotch fillet steak and you could win a chance to compete at the BBQ Capital Cook-Off in Lexington USA in April, 2012!
WHEN: The competition is open for entries from 14th November to 4th December, 2011.
From all NSW entries, five finalists will be selected to compete at the NSW BBQ Tongmaster cook-off competition, held in conjunction with Manly Surf Life Saving Club Nippers on Sunday December 11th, 2011.
The NSW BBQ Tongmaster cook-off competition will decide one winner who will form part of a five team member Australian contingent who will have each competed in their own state tongmaster challenge to earn a seat on a plane bound for the ultimate barbecuing experience. In 2012 the Australian team will land in the acclaimed ‘BBQ Capital of the World’ – Lexington North Carolina to participate in the BBQ Capital Cook Off on April 27 & 28 where teams travel from all over the US and internationally to take the tongs to task in the highly competitive sport of barbecuing. Attracting thousands of visitors and the smell of BBQ goodness spreading for kilometres, this barbecuing challenge will be one to remember.
