Entrants
Australian residents aged 18 years and over and Australian residents under 18 years who have obtained the consent of their parent or legal guardian to enter this Competition.
Exclusions
Employees of Promoter and the suppliers and agencies associated with this Competition, and the immediate family of all such employees.
Entry Period
Starts at 00:01 hours AEST on Sunday 18th December 2011 and ends at 23:59 hours AEST on Saturday 14th January 2012.
Entry
(a) log on to

(b) fill in all the required data fields on the entry form; and
(c) answer the following question in 25 words or less tell us: “What is the first rule you would make as Prime Minister and why?”
Limit
One (1) entry per person per day.
Judging Criteria
Originality and creativity.
Prize Determination
13:00 hours AEST on Friday 20th January 2012 at the offices of the Promoter.
Notification
By email and phone by Tuesday 24th January 2012.
Claim Period
Within 4 weeks from the date of Notification.
Unclaimed Prize Determination
13:00 hours AEST on Tuesday 21st February 2012 at the offices of the Promoter.
The winner will be notified by email and phone within two days of the Unclaimed Prize Determination.
Prize
The Major Prize winner will win a trip for 2 to London to stay at The Arch Hotel valued at $9,210.20, including;
a) two return World Traveller economy tickets with British Airways from Sydney to London;
b) 5 nights’ accommodation for 2 people in a deluxe room at the Arch Hotel;
c) daily breakfast for 2 people;
d) 1x dinner for two at Hunter 486 Restaurant;
e) Return airport transfers from Heathrow to the Arch Hotel;
f) A copy of the Mr & Mrs Smith Hotel Collection: UK/Ireland; and
g) Complimentary BlackSmith Membership.
Total Prize Value
$9,201.20 inc GST.
Prize Conditions
Additional conditions in relation to the travel component of the Prize:
a) Two (2) return World Traveller economy class tickets travelling on British Airways operated flights from Sydney to London valued at up to AU$6,000.
b) Airfares must be booked by 31 March 2012 and are subject to availability.
c) Flights may not be available during the Olympics, school holidays or peak holiday periods.
d) All travel to be completed by 31 December 2012.
e) The Winner and his/her travel companion must depart from, and return to, the same point of departure and travel together for the duration of the trip;
f) Reservations for all sectors are required, no open dated sectors permitted.
g) Any changes made to the booking after the tickets have been issued will incur a service fee.
h) The Winner and travelling companion must hold and carry a valid passport and any necessary visas.
i) They will be carried pursuant to the British Airways’ General Conditions of Carriage (copy available at ba.com).
j) Any change in the value of the flights during the Competition is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
k) unless expressly stated otherwise in the description of the Prize in these Terms and Conditions, the Winner is solely responsible for all costs and expenses associated with using the Prize including costs associated with:
(i) obtaining suitable travel insurance for the trip;
(ii) meeting all government, consular, health and travel requirements applicable to the destination (including obtaining a valid passport, vaccinations and entry visas); and
(iii) taxes, meals, transfers, flights, accommodation, sightseeing or other activities, and spending money;
l) any non flight or airline associated taxes or charges meals, transfers, flights, accommodation, sightseeing or other activities, and spending money will be the sole responsibility of the Winner; and
m) the Promoter makes no representation as to the safety or other conditions at the destination and recommends that the Winner consult the web site of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (
http://www.smartraveller.gov.au/) for travel and consular advice before embarking on international travel.
Additional conditions in relation to the accommodation component of the Prize:
n) the Prize is subject to availability.
o) the Winner may be required to provide a valid credit card imprint or cash deposit at check-in for the purpose of covering incidental or other charges at the hotel; and
p) unless expressly stated otherwise in the description of the Prize in these Terms and Conditions, the Prize does not include the cost of telephone calls, internet access, breakfast, in-room dining, in-room movies, mini bar, gratuities or any other costs or expenses incurred by the Winner, his/her travel companion and/or any of their guests at the hotel.
The promoter of the Competition is the Promoter.
By entering this Competition, Entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions.
ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open only to the Entrants, excluding the Exclusions.
This Competition will be conducted during the Entry Period. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Entry Period. Entries received after the Entry Period will not count towards the Competition. The Promoter is not responsible for any late, lost or misdirected entries.
ENTRY
To enter this Competition, Entrants must complete the Entry, subject to the Limit.
Entry to this Competition via the Website is free. However, any costs associated with accessing the Website are dependent on the internet service provider used.
Entrants must personally and manually submit an Entry using an internet browser. The Promoter reserves the right to reject an Entry if it reasonably forms the opinion that an Entry has been created and/or submitted using automated entry means or a computer entry service.
To be eligible to win a prize in this Competition, an Entry must not:
(a) infringe the intellectual property or other rights of a third party;
(b) be incomplete or illegible; or
(c) be unlawful, defamatory, abusive, insulting, threatening, obscene, inflammatory, offensive or otherwise contain content which, in the Promoter’s sole discretion, is inappropriate or objectionable.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of an Entry and to disqualify an Entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an Entry that does not, in the Promoter’s sole discretion, comply with these Terms and Conditions.
All Entries become the property of the Promoter.
JUDGING
This Competition is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the winner. All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on the Judging Criteria.
Judging will take place at the Prize Determination. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter.
The Entrant who submits the best Entry (as determined by the judges) will win the Prize(s) (Winner). The judges’ decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
WINNERS
The Winner will be notified in accordance with the Notification.
The Winner must claim the Prize within the Claim Period. The Promoter will not be responsible for any delay, loss or damage to the Prize once it has left the Promoter’s or supplier’s premises.
If a Winner is under 18 years of age, the Prize will be awarded to the parent or legal guardian of the Winner.
If the Winner is unable to comply with these Terms and Conditions and/or does not claim the Prize within the Claim Period, the Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize to the Entrant with the next best Entry, as determined by the judges at the Unclaimed Prize Determination.
PRIZES
The Prize consists of the Prize, valued at the Total Prize Value.
The Winner’s use of the Prize is subject to:
(a) the Prize Conditions; and
(b) additional terms and conditions imposed by the supplier(s) of the Prize (if any), with which the Winner must comply.
The Prize is not transferable and not redeemable for cash or other goods or services. The Prize must be taken as a whole and as stated in these Terms and Conditions. No alternative will be provided and no compensation will be payable if the Winner is unable to use the Prize as such.
The value of the Prize is the recommended retail price as provided by the supplier (inclusive of GST) and is correct as at the start of the Competition.
If the Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the Promoter, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value and/or specification.
YOUR INFORMATION
If an Entrant’s contact details change between the date of entry and the Unclaimed Prize Determination, the Entrant must notify the Promoter of his/her updated contact details.
The Promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. Entrants’ personal information will be collected by or on behalf of the Promoter to enable it to conduct the Competition, publicise the name of the Winners and where Entrants have consented to the receipt of such information, send Entrants marketing, advertising and promotional material.
Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to third parties who assist the Promoter in conducting this Competition, including regulatory authorities, entities which supply and deliver the Prizes to the Winners, and marketing and communications agencies.
The Winners’ names will be published and retained as required by relevant legislation and as specified in these Terms and Conditions.

The Winner consents to the Promoter’s use of the Winner’s name, likeness, image, picture, voice, statements, testimonials or quotations for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide, without any fee being paid to the Winner.
RISK AND LIABILITY
The Winner participates in this Competition, and uses the Prize, at his or her own risk.
