Information on the prize and how to enter form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Entry by each entrant. Entry is via Internet only.
Entry is free and open to residents of Australia
aged 18 years or older (“Eligible Entrant”), who enter the promotion in the required manner.
Employees of Flight Centre Limited and their immediate families are not permitted to enter.
Entry into the competition opens at 1:00am (AEST) on Wednesday 8 February, 2012 and
closes at 7:00am (AEST) on Wednesday 7 March 2012. A maximum of one entry per person will be valid. Eligible Entrants can enter the promotion in any of the following ways:
Persons who do not already ‘like’
www.facebook.com/escapetravelau must go to
www.facebook.com/escapetravelauand click the ‘like’ button on the screen. The competition is then entered into by completing the online entry form at
www.facebook.com/escapetravelau and selecting the box to accept the terms and conditions and become an email subscriber.
Persons who currently ‘like’
www.facebook.com/escapetravelau must enter the competition via the ‘Love a Holiday?’ application on
www.facebook.com/escapetravelau. The online entry form must be completed. The tick box accepting the terms and conditions and authorising email subscription must be ticked.
For a second entry in to the draw the entrant can select either the share on Facebook option or the share on Twitter option on the success page of the competition. Once the entrant has shared the competition on either Facebook or Twitter they will automatically be given a second entry in to the draw.
Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoters. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. Entries must be received by the Promoters during the promotional period. The Promoters accept no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
Any contact details entered incorrectly on the Promotional Websites shall be deemed invalid and will result in an ineligible entry.
In order to subscribe to the Escape Travel email newsletter and complete online entry form eligible entrants will be required to provide their full name, current and valid email address, postal address, daytime telephone number, mobile number, postcode and date of birth.
Any costs associated with accessing the Promotional Websites remain the responsibility of each entrant and are dependent on the Internet Service Provider used.
There will be one (1) automated prize draw, generating one (1) Prize Winner.
The prize draw will take place at 12pm (AEST) on Friday 16 March 2012 at Flight Centre Head Office, 545 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000.
The prize winner will be notified by phone and email and their name will be published on
www.facebook.com/escapetravelau on Friday 16 March 2012 by 5:00pm (AEST).
In the case of an unclaimed prize there will be a second chance draw at 12pm (AEST) on Friday 15 June 2012 at Flight Centre Head Office, 545 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000. The winner will be notified by phone and email and their name will be published on
www.facebook.com/escapetravelau on Friday 15 June 2012 by 5:00pm (AEST).
The prize will be distributed by mail on Monday 19 March 2012. All relevant information on how to use the voucher to book accommodation will be included in the mail. The Promoters will assist the Prize Winner as much as is practicable to ensure the prize is taken according to these terms and conditions.
Prize Details are as follows:
There will be one (1) prize of two (2) nights twin share accommodation in a five star hotel in an Australian capital city of the winner’s choice. Flights are not included. Breakfast daily will be included.
Escape Travel will provide a list of thee (3) hotel options from which the winner may choose the hotel they will stay at.
Total value of prize – maximum AUD$1,000. If the winner’s accommodation is less than $1,000 no refund or credit will be given for the difference.

Prize must be taken by Sunday 16 September, 2012
Blackout periods (such as peak periods) may apply
Prize is fully transferable until the prize has been booked
Flights are not included in the prize
By entering the competition the winner consents to the use of their name, suburb of residence and image for promotional and marketing purposes.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
inaccurate/incorrect transcription of entry information;
purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, sent with insufficient postage (where entry is by post), or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;
any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;
the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website;
unauthorised human intervention in any part of the competition;
electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition;
any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying a winner; or
any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant's or any other person's computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
The Promoter will not be liable for personal injury suffered during prize winnings. The winner, and his or her guests (if any), must sign and return any liability release and indemnity provided by the Promoter and/or its contractors as a condition of a prize being awarded. Failure to return the signed releases and indemnities will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another winner.
This condition does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again.
The Promoter Flight Centre Limited trading as Escape Travel ABN 25 003 377 188/CAN 003 377 188 located at Level 2, 545 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000. The personal information of entrants will be collected to enable the Promoter to administer and promote this competition and its winners and may be used to market its services to the entrant. The personal information of the entrants will be held and used in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy which is available at
www.escapetravel.com.au. The personal information of winners may be provided to others assisting, including prize suppliers and deliverers, and to authorities that regulate this competition. If an entrant does not truthfully provide all requested personal information, the Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win the prize.
