iSelect Car Insurance Conditions of Entry

1.      Information on how to enter and all prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2.      Entry is open to Australia residents over 18 years of age, who enter via the iSelect Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/iselect. Entrants must provide their (name, email address and car insurance renewal date (month) on the custom Facebook application relating to this promotion and read, acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Employees (and their immediate families) of iSelect General Pty Ltd (ABN 90 131 798 126), 294 Bay Rd, Cheltenham VIC 3192, or its related bodies corporate (the Promoter) and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin. 3.      The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

4.      The promotion commences on 27/01/12 and closes at 5.00pm (AEST) on 02/03/2012 (Promotional Period).

5.      One entry per person over the entire duration of the promotion is permitted. Each eligible entrant will be entitled to participate in each of the 5 weekly draws. Only entrants who meet all the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions are eligible to win. Entrants are eligible for an additional entry if they share the competition via posting the competition to their Facebook wall. Entrants are not permitted to represent themselves as multiple Facebook users with different Facebook accounts or represent a fictitious person. The Promoter can disqualify any entrant with more than one Facebook account who enters. The Promoter reserves the right in their sole discretion to establish the identity of any entrant.

 

6.      PRIZE DRAWS: Weekly Prize draws will take place at The Taboo Group, 5 Oxford Street South Yarra VIC 3141 at 11.30am (AEST) on 03/02/12, 10/02/12, 17/02/12, 24/02/12 and 05/03/12. Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners will be notified by email within two days of each draw and also published weekly on the competition website http://www.facebook.com/iselect. Once communication has been established with the winner, the Promoter will arrange to have the pre paid debit cards delivered to the winner’s nominated address.

 

7.      The prizes on offer will be 1 x pre-paid debit card per week (for a period of 5 weeks) each to the value of $1,000 (including G.S.T.) that can be used to purchase a new car insurance policy through the Promoter when their policy falls due. Once a policy is purchased through iSelect, cancellation of such policy will not result in a refund. Should the value of the policy be over $1,000 the winner has selected to purchase, the winner is responsible to pay any additional sum of monies over $1,000.

 

8.      Winners are welcome to cancel their existing policy and attempt to receive a pro-rated refund amount from their current insurer if they wish to use the pre paid debit card immediately to purchase new insurance. Some insurers may charge a nominal cancellation fee – winners should check with their insurer before cancellation.

 

9.      If a winner does not qualify for a car insurance policy offered by iSelect’s panel of insurers for whatever reason the pre paid debit card can be used for any purpose the winner desires.

 

10.   Total prize pool is $5,000 of ANZ pre paid debit cards Including GST.

11.   In the event that for any reason whatsoever the prize-winner does not take the prize then that prize will be forfeited by the prize winner. The prize however may be transferred to a nominated person by the winner. All prizes must be claimed, or transferred to nominated persons, by the 05/03/12 otherwise the winner forfeits them.

12.   Where the prize remains unclaimed, the Promoter will conduct such further draws as necessary on 06/06/12 at The Taboo Group, 5 Oxford Street South Yarra VIC 3141 at 11.30am (AEST). The winner of any such unclaimed prize draws will be advised by email within two days of the draw. Winner’s details will be published at http://www.facebook.com/iselect on 07/06/12.

 

13.   The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries. The promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.

 

14.   Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (b) any recommendation or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (c) any tax liability incurred by a winner or Eligible Entrant; or (d) use of the prize.

 

15.   The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, and prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages to the Eligible Entrants. Eligible Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Unless otherwise indicated by you, by participating in this promotion you are agreeing to us providing you with information in relation to the services and products of the Promoter and it related bodies corporate.


16.   The Promoter reserves the right to announce or publish the winner's name and/or photograph for publicity purposes. It is a Term and Condition of entry into this promotion that the winner will consent to the Promoter doing so. Eligible Entrants consent to the Promoter using the winner’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
