Craigs Home Hardware terms and conditions

Terms and Conditions for: "Craig’s Home Timber and Hardware Competition"


1. Method of entry:  Contestants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.  To enter, Contestants must cut out from The Chronicle an entry form published in The Chronicle starting Monday 2 April, 2012 through until Saturday 21 April, 2012 (one entry form will appear each day) and then attach a Craig’s Home Timber and Hardware receipt (from within the promotion dates) with a minimum spend of $50.00 from Craig’s Home Timber and Hardware store located at Highfields Road, Highfields. All entry forms and receipts must be original newsprint and print, no photocopies, scanned images, web prints, reproductions or other falsified artwork will be accepted.  The completed entry form with the receipt attached must be placed in an envelope marked "Craig’s Home Timber and Hardware Competition" and then:

(a) sent by pre-paid post to "Craig’s Home Timber and Hardware Competition", PO Box 40, Toowoomba Q 4350 (so it is received before the Closure Time); or

(b) delivered to The Chronicle, 109 Neil St, Toowoomba Q 4350 OR Craig’s Home Timber and Hardware store, located at Highfields Road, Highfields

Contestants may submit more than one entry, but there is only one Camper Trailer Series 3 which is available to be won.

2. Prizes:  There is 1 Camper Trailer Series 3 to be won valued at approximately $7,000.00 inclusive of GST. The Freetime 7'x 4' Camper Trailer is supplied fully assembled and ready to use. The camper trailer features imported high quality rip stop canvas trailer tent which has a solid waterproofed plywood base mounted on a side opening hinged metal frame which provides superior access for storage. The Australian made all steel touring trailer features 3 brand new tyres and rims, two jerry can holders, a gas cylinder holder and metal tool box mounted on the front draw bar. The features; Full metal painted frame, 17mm weather proof plywood base with internal access doors, 340g/m2 poly cotton canvas roof, walls & awning, Heavy duty PVC floor, Ultra-fine window & door mesh, 100mm thick high density foam mattress, Reinforced peg points with chrome "D" rings, #8 & #10 high quality zippers, Zip on/off full sized awning, Power cord inlet and PVC trailer cover. The trailer; 450mm internal height trailer, Heavy duty steel floor and mud guards, Three brand new 185/14" tyres and 14" rims, Two jerry can holders and one 4.0kg gas bottle holder, One front steel tool box (approximately 90 litre), LED tail lights, Wind down rear stabilisers, Swing up jockey wheel, Gas struts aids access to trailer, Trap door under mattress, Bed area on trailer: 170 x 230cm with comfortable 10cm high queen size mattress, Living: 230 x 260cm, Awning: 435 x 230cm and Includes Australia made 7' x 4' trailer & imported trailer tent with awning. The Camper Trailer Series 3 will also be registered; the winner will be required to then change the registration into their name. The total value of the prizes is approximately $7,000.00 inclusive of GST. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in item values.  Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of that winner.  Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.  If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter may substitute a prize of similar nature and/or like or greater value.

3. Competition duration: The competition commences Monday 2 April, 2012 and closes Monday 23 April, 2012. Entries received after the Closure Time of 5pm will not be eligible

4 Eligibility limitations:  Contestants must be 18 years of age or older to enter.  The following persons are ineligible to enter:

i. employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter and employees of or contractors to Craig’s Home Timber and Hardware;
ii. the spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same household);
iii. Contestants who have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to win any contest run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name.
iv. All Contestants acknowledge that even if the Promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the Promoter has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person, it may require the return of the prize or payment of its value to the Promoter to be dealt with as an unclaimed prize.

5. Draw and notification:  The winning contestant will be selected by random draw at or around 11am on Tuesday 24 April, 2012. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.  Winner’s name will be published in The Chronicle on Wednesday 25 April, 2012  All Contestants acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to publicise and publish his / her name, character and likeness.  All contest winners must avail themselves for a photo if required by the Promoter and acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to utilise publicity photos in any reasonable manner it sees fit without compensation to the Contestant.

6. Prize collection:  Prizes must be claimed in person unless winner is otherwise advised and ID that includes a photograph may be required.  Upon request by the Promoter a copy of the general contest rules and/or a signed receipt and acknowledgement must be signed and endorsed by any winner to indicate his/her understanding and acceptance of these terms.  Any cash winnings will be paid by direct deposit into winner’s bank account.  It is the sole responsibility of the winner to claim their prize.  If the prize remains unclaimed 10 days after notification has been sent to the winner, it will be redrawn by random draw in an unclaimed prize draw.

7. Promoter's limitation of liability:  The Promoter is not responsible for the loss of prizes due to incorrect or imprecise delivery details provided by a winner.  The Promoter also takes no responsibility for prizes lost or stolen after they have been released for delivery via postage or courier.  The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes.  To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained to personal property and including, but not limited to consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner(s) and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the winners.

8. Entries and privacy:  All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter (subject to the limits contained in the Privacy Statement).  All entries become the property of the Promoter and will be used only for competition purposes.  Under the Privacy Act the names and addresses of all entrants in this competition will not be shared or distributed to other parties unless specified.
