** NO TRAVEL **Family Ties was one of my favourite shows growing up and I cannot not think about it when I think of Michael J Fox! Michael J Fox will be in Melbourne, Australia soon as part of the World Premiere of The Visionary Series.
The show is written and directed by Ignatius Jones and was a year in the making. Ignatius Jones is one of the world’s leading creative event Directors who has been responsible for three of the largest events in Australian history: Sydney’s Millennium Celebrations, the Harbour Spectacular of the Closing Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, and Sydney’s New Year’s Eve and Centenary of Federation celebrations.
MICHAEL J. FOX, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Future, will be hosted by Australian actor, Shane Jacobson (who played Kenny in Kenny). The show is a one off and will be an amazing evening sharing stories from the life of this well loved actor.
The event will be live on stage in the Plenary Arena inside the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Tuesday 14th August 2012. Shane Jacobson will sit alongside Michael, to share stories and re-live some of his life, career highlights and lows with the audience – an experience I imagine will impact significantly on those who are there.Shane Jacobson will also be raising the charitable and awareness side of Michael’s life in relation to Parkinson’s disease. The disease is also something very close to Shane’s heart as both his Mother and Uncle are living with the disease.
Tickets start at $195 per person and can be purchased through ticketmaster online. A proportion of all ticket sales will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation and Parkinson’s Victoria.
