TERMS & CONDITIONS
Country Road “Win a Papillionaire Bike” Competition: Terms and Conditions
1. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the Terms and Conditions of Entry.
3. For the purposes of the Terms and Conditions, the promoter is Country Road Limited of 658 Church Street, Richmond, Victoria, 3121, Australia. ABN: 78 006 759 182 (the Promoter).
4. Entry is open to Australian residents who are 18 years and older (Eligible Persons). Employees and the immediate families of the Promoter, and its agencies are ineligible to enter the promotion.
5. Promotion commences Friday 10 August. Entries close Sunday 19 August at 11:59pm (the Promotion Period).
6. Eligible Persons may enter the promotion through the Win A Papillionaire Bike application on the Facebook Platform. Eligible Persons can also find the application on the Win A Papillionaire Bike tab on the Country Road Page on Facebook at
www.facebook.com/CountryRoad. Eligible persons entering this way must ‘Like’ the Country Road Page on Facebook.
7. Entrants must complete the Win A Papillionaire Bike form at
http://www.facebook.com/CountryRoad during the Promotion Period. All entries received after 11:59pm Sunday 19 August will not be eligible for entry.
8. Entrants must provide their full name, email address and complete the following sentence in 25 words or less:
“My favourite piece in Country Road’s spring 2012 catalogue is… because…”.
9. Any entry over 25 words and/or not responding to the sentence: “My favourite piece in Country Road’s spring 2012 catalogue is… because…” will be deemed invalid.
10. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
11. Multiple entries per person are permitted.
12. All entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the promotional database and not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
13. Judging will be conducted at 658 Church Street, Richmond, Victoria, 3121, Australia on Tuesday 21 August 2012. Judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. The best entry, as judged by the Promoter, will win. The winner will be selected based on the entry’s relevance and creativity in completing the sentence “My favourite piece in Country Road’s spring 2012 catalogue is… because…” in 25 words or less.
15. There will be one winner in total. The winner will receive a 3 speed Papillionaire bike in one of the following styles: Classic (unisex), Somer (female) or Mixte (unisex) valued at $624. The winner may choose the colour and style of bike however any extra customisation selected by the winner must be at the winner’s own expense.
16. Total prize pool value is $624 (RRP AUD). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash or gift cards.
17. The winner will be notified via email on Wednesday 22 August 2012. The winning submission will be posted via a status update on Country Road’s Facebook page on Thursday 23 August 2012.
18. The Promoter will take no responsibility if a prize winner's contact details are incorrect or incomplete and the prize winner cannot be contacted.
19. Winner must confirm acceptance of their prize by 5:00pm Wednesday 22 August 2012.
20. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any unclaimed prize with another suitable winning entry on Thursday 23 August 2012.
21. The prize will be sent to the winner within approximately 4 weeks of the winner’s announcement. The Promoter will cover all delivery costs and will take no responsibility for damage in transit or delivery. The bike will be delivered unassembled with instructions. Costs for assembly of the bike by Papillionaire must be covered by the winner. Delivery will only be made within Australia.
22. In the event that the prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize at its discretion to the same and equal recommended retail value.
23. All times and dates refer to the Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) zone.
24. The winner agrees to participate in such reasonable publicity as may be requested by the Promoter. The winner agrees to the publication of their name and winning entry as referred to in paragraph 17 above. Entrants who do not wish their personal information to be used in one or both of these ways should direct their request to the Promoter using the contact details set out below.
25. The Promoter is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected entries and all such entries shall be disqualified.
26. Events that are beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, include but are not limited to, computer viruses or bugs, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, computer traffic congestion affecting the administration, security or integrity of the promotion.
27. Entrants acknowledge that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Entrants will provide their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion must be directed to the Promoter, not Facebook.
28. The Promoter will collect entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion.
29. When entering the promotion, entrants will have the option to opt-in to receive future electronic promotional and marketing media. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter using the contact details below.
30. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of age, identity and residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
