The Sapphires, starring Deborah Mailman, Jessica Mauboy and Chris O’Dowd, is an uplifting and emotional movie that follows the story of four singers who embark on the journey of a lifetime together.
The women, who hail from a remote Aboriginal mission, are discovered by a talent scout who helps them become Australia’s very own answer to The Supremes.
Throughout the film, the women grow as artists and as friends, discovering love, life and everything in between.
This film was inspired by a true story.
