TERMS AND CONDITIONS
On entering the Country Racing Victoria Team on the Turf Competition you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
1.2 This is a game of skill and chance has no part in the outcome.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.3, entry is open to all Sporting Groups of any Code in Victoria over 16 years of age. Entries will also be accepted from Sporting Groups in NSW AND SA that operate within 100 kilometres interstate of the race tracks Benalla, Towong, Wangaratta, Wodonga, Mildura, Manangatang, Swan Hill, Wycheproof, Kerang Wimmera, Ballarat, Avoca or Burrumbeet.
2.2 There is a limit of one (1) entry per person per week, but all members of the team/club are eligible to enter different stories, photos or videos. In the case of more than one person submitting the same or similar story, the first entry received will be the one considered for a prize.
2.3 Employees and families of the Promoter or the prize suppliers or any of their agencies associated with the Competition or Program are not eligible to enter. This includes a spouse, de-facto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether full, half, step or by adoption)
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The competition commences on the 18st of June 2012 and closes at 12 midnight on the 26th of September 2012.
3.2 Entrants must enter via the Country Racing Victoria Facebook site. Entrants are required to ‘Like the Facebook page and complete all fields on the site including, but not limited to an email address by means of contact
3.3 Failure to comply with the above conditions or complete all fields required will deem the entry invalid and no correspondence will be entered into.
3.4 Entries must be received no later than midnight on Wednesday the 26th September 2012.
3.5 There are three (3) elements of entry. The first is an entry form and the second is to submit a story (no longer that 200 words) and supporting Video OR photo. The video must be no longer than 90 seconds in length.
3.6 Stories can be about:
• Something funny that happened
• A big win
• Overcoming adversity
• Helping the community
• Team building
• Friendship
4. STORY, PHOTOS, VIDEO RULES
4.1 Entrants agree that on submission of their story, photo or video will not be obscene and/or defamatory to any person or persons including members of opposing teams. No images are to represent serious injuries.
4.2 The judges decision is final in what constitutes the above and no correspondence will be entered into.
4.3 By entering the competition, entrants warrant and confirm that they grant (or waive as applicable) and have obtained all the necessary rights, licenses, consents and permissions from all persons who appear in the story, video or photo(s). If any such consents, permissions or any clearances have not been properly and legally obtained, then the entrant on submitting the story, photo(s) or video agrees to indemnify and keep Country Racing Victoria, its agents, contactors and affiliated racing clubs fully indemnified against any claim, damage, loss (whether foreseeable or not), liability or cost including any reasonable legal fees arising out of any failure to obtain such consents.
4.4 By entering you take full responsibility of the originalty of your entry and absolve Country Racing Victoria from any claim, dispute or legal action by any third parties.
5. THE PRIZE AND DETAILS OF PRIZE DRAWS
5.1 There are thirteen (13) individual prizes to be won with a total value of
up to AU$16,000 (including GST).
5.2 Prizes will be announced on a dedicated segment on the Off the Bench TV show (‘Laughs, Legends and Larakins’) on the Prime Network from Friday July 6 to Friday September 28 2012. Each week Country Racing for 12 weeks Country Racing Victoria will select the three (3) best stories, photos or videos of which one (1) will be chosen as the winner as judged by the Off the Bench TV hosts. The one chosen winner each week will receive a $500 Country Racing Victoria Online voucher valid until July 31 2013.
5.3 On Friday, September 28 2002 the Grand Prize winner will be judged selected from the previous 12 weekly winners and the Grand prize winner will win a $10,000 Country Racing Victoria package consisting of a $5000 club sponsorship for the team/club and a $5000 end of season Country Racing Victoria race day experience for the team/club and is valid until July 31 2013.

5.3.1 Travel Insurance is not included in the prize and Country Racing Victoria is not responsible for any loss of articles or damage to articles or your person in transit or at events. This includes accidents, theft, bodily harm or any inconvenience due to the breakdown of a vehicle or need for medical assistance.
5.3.2 Any expenses incurred above the AU$5000 end of season race day experience prize money are the responsibility of the Team/club that wins the Grand Prize.
5.3.3 No element of the prize is transferable and no element of the prizes can be redeemed for cash (with the exception of the Grand Prize $5000 club sponsorship).
5.3.4 Winners of the prize should seek independent financial advice about any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings.
5.3.5 The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.
5.3.6 In participating in the competition, the winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed, filmed for broadcast and photographed. The winners agree to grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
5.3.7 The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages to the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to opt out, access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

5.4 If a prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
5.5 The winners will be notified by telephone and email
5.6 If any prize is unclaimed, or forfeited another selection process will take place (subject to any directions from a regulatory authority).
5.7 The Promoter’s decision is final at every stage of the Winners participation and agreements signed and no correspondence will be entered into.
6 NO LIABILITY
6.1.1 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Eligible persons understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. The information an Eligible Person provides will only be used for the purposes outlined in these Conditions. Any questions, comments or complaints about this Competition must be directed to the Promoter and not to Facebook
6.1.2 CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO ANY WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION ON ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS COMPETITION OR TO OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. THE PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW IN THE EVENT THAT ANY SUCH ATTEMPT IS MADE, WHETHER OR NOT THAT ATTEMPT RESULTS IN ANY SUCH DAMAGE, INTERFERENCE OR UNDERMINING.
6.1.3 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to government legislation.
6.1.4 The Promoter is not responsible for lost, interrupted communications or unavailable server or other connections, failed telephone, mid-delivery or computer transmissions or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical or electronic.
6.1.5 If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
6.1.6 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry of any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if the Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause.
6.1.7 Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantee, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) and Prize Promoter are not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) ; whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by the winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize.
6.1.8 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (‘Non-Excludable Guarantees’). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion.
