Ice Break will be heading to this year’s Uni Games, held at the University of Adelaide (North Terrace Campus) and giving away $1,000 cash. But you’ve gotta earn it.
We are looking for someone who can take on our Ice Break Motorised Ball Machine and beat it The aim of the game is to take as many marks as possible. Daily heats will be held every halftime at the Ice Break Precinct at the AFL, Soccer and Touch Footy events between Monday 24th September and Thursday 27th September Finals will be held at the Uni Games AFL Grand Final on Friday 28th September Schedule: Heat 1: Monday 24th September – AFL – Ignatians Oval Heat 2: Tuesday 25th September – Touch – City Touch – Park 17 Heat 3: Wednesday 26th September – AFL – Thebarton Oval Heat 4: Thursday 27th September – Soccer – Barrett Reserve Final: Friday 28th September – AFL – Thebarton Oval Terms & Conditions: 1.Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. 2.Employees of Parmalat Australia, their agents, contractors, consultants and their immediate families (including de facto spouses) or any other persons assisting with the competition are not eligible to enter. 3.The Promoter, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, including but not limited to, anyone who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry. 4.The Promoter is Parmalat Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 56 072 928 879) of Level 5/35 Boundary Street, South Brisbane Qld 4101 (Promoter). 5.The Competition is a game of skill with the winner(s) verified by an appointed adjudicator. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. 6.To enter the competition, entrants must participate in one of the daily qualifying heats held at the Ice Break precincts at one of the AFL, Soccer or Touch Footy events from Monday 24 September 2012 to Thursday 27 September 2012. 7.The object is to make a ‘Mark’ to be declared a winner. 8.A ‘Mark’ is awarded for a catch of the ball before it touches the ground. 9.A maximum of 10 entries per heat with a maximum of 5 heats each day between Monday 24th September to Thursday 27th September, with 3 elimination rounds and a grand final round on Friday 28th September. 10.Winner of each Qualifying Heat, Elimination Final and the Grand Final will be determined by securing the AFL ball, which will be shot into the air by the Ice Break motorized ball machine. All participants will be on the ground together and will compete for the ball. 11.Heat winners compete in the eliminations final on Friday 28 September 2012 with the winners of these heats eligible to compete in the Grand Final on 28th September 2012for the major cash prize. Finals will be held at t6he Uni Games AFL Grand Final 12.In the event that the ball hits the ground before a mark can be taken, the ball will be replayed. 13.Any violent or inappropriate actions will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification. 14.If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant. 15.All competitors are required to read and sign a supplied official waiver and release form prior to participation, agreeing to its conditions. 16.The Grand Final winner will receive a One Thousand Dollar (AU$1000) cash prize. 17.To be eligible to compete in the Elimination Finals or Grand Final, participants must have won a Qualifying Heat. Qualifying Heats are held at publicised locations 8:00am CST on Monday 24th September and close 4pm CST on Thursday 27th September. 18.The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 19.This prize is not transferable. Participation in the competition is not transferable to other participants. A Finalist may not replace their position in the competition with any substitute person. 20.The winner must claim their prize by 9pm CST on Friday 28th September 2012. In the event that the winner does not collect their prize for any reason, a runner up winner will be determined by the appointed adjudicator and contacted and offered the prize. 21.All participants must be aged 18 years or older to be eligible to claim the prize. Proof of age will be required. 22.The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of participating in the competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. 23.Prize is not transferrable by the winner prior to awarding of the prize. No correspondence will be entered into. 24.The heat winners and grand final winner agrees that the Promoter can publish their names on the Ice Break Facebook page after the event. 25.All entries become the property of the Promoter. By entering the competition entrants understand and agree that the Promoter (and its affiliates and companies that work for the Promoter) may use and disclose the information provided by them by entering the information into a database for future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, subject to any applicable privacy laws. 26.This competition is governed by the laws of SA.
