1. The Promotion commences on Monday 8 October 2012 at 09:00 (AEDST) and concludes on Sunday 18 November 2012 at 23:59 (AEDST) (“Promotion Period”). Information on how to enter and the prize forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Entry is open to all Australian citizens and residents 18 years and over except directors and employees of the Promoter and their immediate families (including spouse, parent, child or sibling whether or not they live in the same house) and any printers, suppliers, providers and agencies associated with this promotion and their immediate families (“Eligible Entrants”).
3. The Promoter is Sensis Pty Ltd (ABN 30 007 423 912) of 222 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne Victoria, 3000. Phone (03) 8653 5000.
4. Each week of the promotional period, Whereis® will ask a question which will require eligible entrants to provide a response in 25 words or less. The schedule of questions is as follows:
Week 1 (09:00, 8/10 to 23:59, 14/10) – Where was your first concert?Week 2 (09:00, 15/10 to 23:59, 21/10) – Where was your first road trip?Week 3 (09:00, 22/10 to 23:59, 28/10) – Where was your first date?
Week 4 (09:00, 29/10 to 23:59, 4/11) – What was the first major sporting event you attended?
Week 5 (09:00, 5/11 to 23:59, 11/11) –Where was your first holiday?
Week 6 (09:00,12/11 to 23:59,18/11) – What was your first car?
Questions will be displayed on the competition landing page (which includes the entry form) located at
www.whereismaps.com5. Competition entry is via online entry only. Entrants will be required to complete the entry form located at
www.whereismaps.com6. The entry judged to be most creative in relation to that week’s particular Whereis® question will win an iPhone 5 16GB handset valued at $799 (RRP). One iPhone 5 will be given away each week. All Eligible Entrants will go into the draw for the major prize of a $5,000 debit card. The entry judged the most creative overall will win the $5,000 debit card. Judgment of the winning entries will be at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
7. Total prize pool value A$9,794 (inc GST).
8. Eligible Entrants may enter each week’s competition question multiple times.
9. Entries which, in the opinion of the Promoter:
are incomplete or incomprehensible; or
which contain inappropriate or offensive material,
are ineligible to win. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries, entries not received for any reason during the Promotion Period or for any periods of unavailability or technical difficulties with the on-line entry mechanism.
10. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in prize values. If for any reason the Promoter is unable to provide a winner with any prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative prize of similar monetary value.
11. The Promoter is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings and winners should seek independent financial advice prior to the acceptance of the prize.
12. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available to it and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any requirements of law. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, including if an automated entry mechanism is used.
13. Winners of each weekly prize including the major prize will be notified by no later than 17:00 on Friday 25 November 2012.
14. If a prize remains unclaimed after 16 December 2012, the Promoter may review previously submitted entries to determine the distribution of any unclaimed prizes. The Promoter retains absolute discretion as to how unclaimed prizes are distributed, including retaining remaining prizes for future promotions.
15. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage which is suffered or for any personal injury suffered or sustained arising directly or indirectly from this Promotion or in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
16. Eligible Entrants agree to participate and co-operate with the Promoter as required in all editorial and promotional activities relating to the Promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed for the purpose of the Promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter for an unlimited period of time without remuneration. Each winner also agrees to grant to the Promoter a perpetual and exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and each winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
17. The Promoter will deliver the prize to each prize winner’s nominated address within Australia. The Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this promotion will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the prize during transit, or for any delay in delivery of prizes. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
