Employees of the Promoter’s Customer Development department (and their immediate families), the Judging Panel (and their immediate families) and the Promoter’s Agency are not eligible to enter the Genuine Hero competition. Immediate family is a person living in the same household.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions of entry.
Chance plays no part in determining the finalists and winners. Each Nomination will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. The Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of each winner is binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
The recipients of each prize will be selected by representatives of the Promoter based on the most creative and deserving statement of why the nominee is a Genuine Hero required by clause 24 of these Terms and Conditions (Winner). The statements will be displayed on the Promoter’s Facebook page and the top ten (10) statements will be determined by a Facebook user vote through the Facebook Application. The recipients of each prize will be selected by the representative of the Promoter from the top ten (10) statements as determined by voting.
The Promotion commences on Monday, 22nd November 2012 at midday and concludes on Friday, 14th December 2012 at midnight (‘Promotion Period’). All times referred to are in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).
There are three (3) prizes to be won. 1st prize totals $5,000 to be shared equally between the Nominee and Nominator of the best winning entry, 2nd prize totals $2,000 to be shared equally between the Nominee and the Nominator of the 2nd best winning entry and 3rd prize totals $1,000 to be shared between the Nominee and the Nominator of the 3rd best winning entry as judged by the panel. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the Promotion Period. Total prize value is $8,000Each prize will be paid into a Suncorp Bank Transaction Account (Eligible Account). If the winning nominee and/or nominator respectively does not hold an Eligible Account, Suncorp Bank will provide the prize recipient with all the requirements that must be satisfied in order to enable the Bank to open an Eligible Account for the prize amount to be deposited into.
The Promoter’s decision shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter may also in its discretion refuse to award the prize to any Nominee if they fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
The prizes are non-transferable.
The Promoter is not responsible for any ancillary costs incurred by the Winner(s) relating to entry, promotion or redemption of the prize other than those specified in these Terms and Conditions.
Generally prizes for tax residents of Australia are not considered taxable however you should check with your tax advisor. The Promoter is not liable for any taxation implications that may arise as a result of winning a Genuine Hero prize and the Winner should seek their own financial advice in this respect.
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) for misadventure, accident, injury or loss claimed as a result of taking any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
Entrants’ personal information will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy

Rules for Nominators
Any person may nominate another person for entry into the competition (Nominator).
It is free to nominate and accept a nomination for entry. The Nominator will be sharing in the prize money for the nomination.
Individuals voting in the Competition are limited to voting only once for each Nominee entry.
Each Nominee must be nominated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. By accepting a nomination, each Nominee agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter may in its discretion refuse to accept a Nomination.
Nomination is available for all Australian residents only and any Australian resident is able to nominate (i.e. any individual).

The Nominator has to ensure information supplied about the Nominee is accurate and has been provided with the consent of the Nominee, as the Promoter will be relying on this information to contact the Nominee.
The Promoter will not be held accountable for inability to contact or non response of the Nominee which may result in ineligibility of the nomination.
The Promoter in its sole discretion determines whether to publish any Works provided by a Nominator, in a nomination.
By submitting Works, a Nominator agrees
that all Works, becomes the property of the Promoter. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this Promotion is governed by the Promoter's Privacy Policy;
to assign any rights held (including but not limited to copyright, moral rights and common law rights) in any material (including written and photographic) to the Promoter;
to undertake any media and promotional activities as required by the Promoter, including but not limited to television, radio, print and online media interviews and appearances;
that reasonable steps have been taken to ensure that any uploaded file does not contain computer viruses or unauthorised programs;
that Works may be edited or adapted at any time by the Promoter to:
meet the requirements of broadcasting authorities;
adhere to any requirements of the Suncorp Privacy Policies; and
ensure the Work meets any legal or classification requirements or to avoid any breach of law.
that the Promoter may use the Works for promotional purposes;
that the Promoter may use the Works on other Suncorp media platforms; and/or
that all details provided by the Nominator as it relates to the Nomination is true and accurate.
Rules for Nominees
The Nominee is the person identified on a Nomination Form who will be entered into the promotion for a chance to win a prize (Nominee).
The Nominee will receive an email from the Promoter notifying them of their nomination, that was submitted with their consent by the Nominator. The email will have a link to Promoters privacy statement and competition terms and conditions and the manner in which they can contact the Promoter.
The Promoter will contact the winners of each Prize by email within 72 hours. The prize winners’ names will be published on

The Promoter will take all reasonable steps to contact the Nominee winners. In the event the Promoter is unsuccessful in being able to contact a Nominee winner, the prize will become unclaimed at the discretion of the Promoter
