Eligibility
You may not enter the promotion unless you are at least 18 years of age and you are an Australian citizen or resident. You may not enter the promotion if you are:
(a) an employee or officer of Sofee Australia Pty Limited,
(b) an employee or officer of any company engaged by Sofee Australia Pty Limited to provide goods or services in connection with this promotion, or
(c) an immediate family member of any person described in (a) or (b) above.
How to enter
You may only enter the promotion by completing the registration form on our website created specifically for this promotion, sofee.com.au. You will receive one entry into our prize draw when you register for the promotion.
You cannot enter the promotion more than once.You are not required to pay any money to enter the promotion.
The promotion starts at 3.00am (AEDST) on 20 November 2012 and closes at 11.59pm on 21 December 2012 (AEDST).
We are not responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information, either caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated or utilised in this promotion, or by any technical error that may occur in the course of administration of this promotion. Late entries will not be accepted.
If you attempt to tamper with the entry process – for example, by registering through multiple email addresses or by deploying any type of automated software with the intention of you receiving multiple entries or otherwise increasing your chances of entry – we may disqualify you from the promotion.
You may not enter the promotion on someone else’s behalf.
Prize details and how to win
There are 20 ipad minis to be won.When you enter the promotion, you will see a picture of a jar containing cash. When registering, you will be asked to state how much cash you think is in the jar.
During each entry period (see below), the first person to provide the correct answer will win one ipad mini. If nobody provides the correct answer, whoever provides the closest answer to the correct answer will win one ipad mini. If more than one person provides the closest answer, the first of those people to have provided the closest answer will win one ipad mini.
There are only 20 ipad minis to be won, there are no more prizes.
The first entry period begins at the start of this promotion and ends at 11.59pm (AEDST) on 26 November 2012. The second entry period follows the first, and ends at 11.59pm on the next business day in Sydney (27 November 2012). This pattern continues, so that each entry period begins as soon as the previous entry period finishes and ends at the end of the next business day, until 11.59pm on 21 December 2012.
Winners will be determined on 7th January 2013. We may (but are not obliged to) determine winners earlier. After determining the winners, we will then verify their identity and attempt to contact them to award the prizes. Winners’ names will be published in The Australian newspaper on 15 January 2013, to the extent winners’ details have been verified by that time. Otherwise, winners’ names will be published within two business days of them having been determined.
We are not obliged to award the prize in respect of any entry period if:
(a) there are no valid entries in that period;
(b) having applied all reasonable efforts, we are unable to contact the winner or verify their identity and contact details;
(c) the winner forfeits the prize or indicates that s/he is unable or unwilling to accept or use the prize.
There are no prizes to be won in respect of each entry period other than first prize.
About the prize
Each individual prize comprises one Apple 16GB Wi-Fi ipad mini, including delivery to the winner’s nominated address within Australia.
As at 20 November 2012, the retail value of each prize is AUD $369.00 (including GST) and the retail value of the total prize pool is AUD $7,380.00 (including GST). These values may change over time (eg due to the supplier changing its standard prices). We will not accept any liability in connection with any change in value of the prize.
The prize is offered as stated. If you win and cannot use the prize for any reason, you will not be entitled to any compensation, whether in cash or otherwise. You may not transfer the prize to anyone else without our approval (which we may withhold for any reason), and the prize cannot be redeemed for cash.
If the prize or any part of it cannot be provided for any reason, we may provide an alternative prize or part, being of similar nature to the original and having the same value.
Promotional activity
If you win the prize, we may request that you provide (or we may organise) a photograph(s) of you, which we may use for promotional purposes, without any compensation being payable to you. We will own any copyright in such image(s) and in any material incorporating those images. You unconditionally assign to us such copyright.
You agree that if we are required to disclose or publish your personal information by law – for example, pursuant to applicable gaming laws or other regulatory requirements – you unconditionally consent to such use or disclosure.
If you become liable for any tax payable in connection with this prize, that liability will be your sole responsibility. We recommend that you seek your own independent advice in relation to this. General rules
You must bear any costs you incur in entering this competition, such as the costs of using and accessing Facebook, our website or any other website, whether on a mobile phone, tablet or other device. We are not responsible for any costs you incur in connection with this promotion.
All of our decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
