The Perth International Arts Festival is running from February 8 until March 2, and it's bringing a fairly stellar line up: Philip Glass (in conversation and on stage), Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Laurie Anderson and Kronos Quartet, Jens Lekman, Deer Tick, Tim Rogers and The Bamboos and The Tallest Man on Earth are just the beginning.
There's more than just music (though that's certainly the lion's share), with the international Lotterywest Film Festival, theatre, visual arts and dance all vying for attention.
