Terms and Conditions
1.Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions.
2.Entry is open to all residents of Australia except directors, management, employees and the immediate families of the promoter, who are not eligible to enter this competition. The promoter is A. 3.Subject to clauses 4 and 5 below, entry is open to all residents of Australia.
4.Entrants under the age of 18 must obtain the prior permission of a parent or guardian over the age of 18 to enter the Competition.
5.Employees (and their immediate family members) of the Promoter and any of their associated agencies, suppliers or related bodies corporate are not eligible to enter this competition.
6.Entries open 12.01am (AEST) on 01/02/13 and close at 11.59pm (AEST) on 30/04/13.
7.DAILY PRIZE
The daily prize draws will be conducted at A. Clouet (Australia) Pty Ltd, 11 Melissa Place, Kings Park NSW 2148 daily throughout 02/02/2013 – 01/05/13. Daily entries are those entries between 00:00AEDT to 11:59pm AEDT and are eligible to go in the draw to win the ‘daily’ prize. The ‘daily’ winner will be drawn the following morning at 11am and only entries between that timeframe will be eligible to win the ‘daily’ prize. The only exception is on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday where three competition winners will be drawn on the following Monday or if there is a public holiday where the required daily prize/s will then be drawn on the following work day after the public holiday. All daily prize winners will be notified by telephone and e-mail within 48 hours of the daily draw. Winners’ names will be published online on 01/03/13 (for daily draws occurring before 28/02/13), 01/04/13 (for daily draws occurring before 31/03/13) and 01/05/13 (for daily draws occurring before 30/04/13). All ‘daily’ prizes will be dispatched within 28 days of the draw. All reasonable steps to notify winners of the results of the draws will be taken by the Promoter.
8.MAJOR PRIZE
The major prize draw winner will be conducted at A. Clouet (Australia) Pty Ltd, 11 Melissa Place, Kings Park NSW 2148 on 7/05/2013 at 2.30pm. All daily entries will be included in the major prize draw. The major prize draw will be drawn from all valid entries received by 11.59pm (AEDT) on 30/04/13. Major prize winner will be notified by telephone and e-mail within 48 hours of the major prize draw and their name will be published on the promotional website on 28/05/13. The name of the first prize winner will be published in The Australian on 28/05/13. The first prize winner will be advised of their point of contact and also instructed how to book in their travel within 28 days of the draw. All reasonable steps to notify winners of the results of the draws will be taken by the Promoter.
9.HOW TO ENTER
To enter the promotion, simply; Purchase any two (2) AYAM™ products during the promotional period of 01/02/13 – 30/04/13, keep the receipt and locate the barcode on the product packaging.
You can then enter online (
www.ayam.com) by completing the online entry form. The entry form will require you to input the barcode on the product packaging and answer the competition question: “Who is the MasterChef finalist that features on the ‘AYAM™ Street Cooking in Style’ videos” (there will be a link to view the ‘AYAM™ Street Cooking in Style’ videos). In order to fully complete the online entry form, eligible entrants will be required to provide their full name, residential address, contact telephone number, current and valid e-mail address, date of birth, the barcodes from the AYAM™ products purchased and must also answer the competition question.
10.Entries must be received by the Promoter during the promotional period. Internet entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt into the promotional database and not at the time of transmission.
11.You may enter as many times as you like provided that each entry is a separate online entry and includes the barcodes of the two (2) AYAM™ products purchased during the promotional period. Only one entry is permitted for every purchase of two (2) AYAM™ products. If an entrant is unable to provide proof of purchase for all entries made, then all the entries of that entrant will be ineligible and deemed invalid. Each entry must be a separate entry. In order to be eligible to claim a prize; winning entrants will be required to provide proof of purchase by presenting a store receipt corresponding to the entry date within the promotional period of 01/02/13 to 30/04/13.
12.Entrants can only enter in their own name. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winners to produce (within the requested time) appropriate photo identification or other documentation (to the Promoter’s satisfaction, at its sole discretion) in order to confirm the winners’ identity, age, residential address, and eligibility to enter and claim a prize.
13.If the competition winner is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian on behalf of the winner.
14.First prize: The first valid entry drawn randomly from all entries received will win a culinary food trip for 2 with Alvin Quah to Malaysia. The prize consists of:

15.No frequent flyer points can be accrued on travel and accommodation taken with this prize. Spending money, meals (other than those stated), insurance, passports, visas, travel to and from the Australian departure point, and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner. The prize is non-transferrable and not redeemable for cash.
16.The first prize winner’s travel package must be redeemed before 30th November, 2013. The prize cannot be taken during Australian school holidays, and is subject to flight availability in economy class. Black-out periods may apply. Flights must be booked no less than 14 days prior to departure. Travel period is only during June – November 2013. The prize is also subject to talent, Alvin Quah’s availability. Alvin Quah will not be present for the entire duration of the trip but will accompany the winner to: 1 dinner, 1 cooking class and 1 tour in Penang (as outlined in point 14). The tour is subject to alteration and should, amongst other changes, should Alvin become unavailable to accompany the winner, no financial or other reimbursement will be due to the prize-winner. The tour will be organised by Tourism Malaysia and full itinerary and conditions of the tour will be provided by Tourism Malaysia. The prize is subject to flight availability in economy class. Flights must be booked no less than 45 days prior to departure. (Travel package is valued at up to $10,000 inc. GST, dependent on winner’s departure point and date of departure. 17.Daily prizes: The following eighty nine (89) eligible correct valid entries, drawn randomly for the ‘daily’ prize will win a Wusthof Classic 2 piece Asian knife set (valued at $379 RRP) and an AYAM™ hamper (valued $20 RRP) daily for the promotional period. Total daily prize value is $35,511 RRP in total. There will be 89 daily prize winners.
18.There are 90 individual prize winners. Only one (1) prize can be won per household regardless of the number of entries received (S.A. exempt). Total Prize value is $45,511(RRP inc. GST). Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the suppliers and are correct at the time of printing. All prize values are in Australian dollars. The promoter accepts no responsibility for variation in prize values.
19.All daily prizes will be sent to the winners’ address, as stated on the Competition Entry form.
20.Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize as stated. The prizes are not exchangeable, redeemable for cash and not transferable. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
21.Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to the acceptance of the prize.
22.Values of prizes are shown as a guide only, were correct at the time of printing and include GST where applicable. Should the item specified in items 14 or 17 above be unavailable or superseded, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of a similar replacement type and value, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each State and Territory, where relevant.
23.The promoter may conduct a second draw in the event of any forfeited or unclaimed prizes at the same address on 07/08/2013 at 2.30pm to distribute any prizes, should they be unclaimed or returned to the promoter by this date, and those winners will be notified by e-mail and published on
www.ayam.com on 23/08/13. Any winners of an unclaimed first prize will also be published in the Australian on 23/08/13.
24.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries or for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestions on the Internet or at any website, or any combination related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this competition.
25.If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and, subject to any written directions given by the various Lottery Departments, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
26.Any costs associated with accessing the website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
27.The promoter and its related bodies corporate, their offices and employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any of the prizes offered.
28.All entries become the property of the promoter. Entrant’s personal information is collected to allow the promoter to manage this competition. By entering, unless otherwise advised, each entrant consents to the information they submit being entered into a database. The Promoter and its partner (if applicable) may use this for future promotional purposes without any reference/payment/compensation. If an individual no longer consents to their details being used for promotion and marketing purposes, the entrant should contact the Promoter or relevant Sponsor (whichever the case may be).
29.In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
