Mr Rental “Weekly $1,000 Money Box” Competition Terms & Conditions

Information on how to enter and the prizes forms part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
Entry is open to Australian residents 18 years and over who fulfill entry requirements as dictated in clause 3. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this competition are not eligible to enter this competition.
To enter:
Entrants are required to enter via the website at mrrental.com.au, to participate in the Competition.
Entrants must complete all personal particulars as requested on the registration form.
Entrants must click on the “Confirm” button, then check their personal details and click on the “Submit” button to complete the participation.
Entries must be received by the 21st June, 2013 to qualify.
Limit of one entry per person for the promotional period.
Once an entry has been received it will be valid for all following draws for the duration of the Competition.
The Competition commences at 00.01 AEST on Monday 13th May, 2013 and closes at 23.59 AEST on Friday 21st June, 2013 (“Entry Period”).
The 6 weekly draws will close and be drawn on the following dates:

Week 2 Close: 27/05/2013 Draw: 28/05/2013
Week 3 Close: 03/06/2013 Draw: 04/06/2013
Week 4 Close: 10/06/2013 Draw: 11/06/2013

Week 6 Close: 21/06/2013 Draw: 25/06/2013
All entries will be downloaded and placed in the manual draws.
All draws will take place at 3:00pm (AEST) at Mr Rental Australia Pty Ltd National Support Office, 483a Lutwyche Road, Lutwyche, QLD 4030.
The 1st valid entry randomly drawn weekly will receive a $1,000 cheque. Total prize pool is $6,000 (inc GST).
The Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
Entries must be received during the Entry Period. Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are received by the Promoter’s database and not at the time of submission by the entrant. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries or other communications due to error, omission, tampering, deletion, theft, communications failure or otherwise. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way. The Promoter is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred. Entrants who enter using multiple email addresses or aliases may be disqualified. Consumers are responsible for their own costs associated with accessing the Internet. Automatically generated entries will not be accepted.
The Promoter has no control over and is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this promotion or by any human error which may occur in the processing of entries in this promotion.
The winner will be notified by phone and writing within 2 days of the draw.
The winner’s names will be published on the Mr Rental website by Friday after each draw: 24th May 2013, 31st May 2013, 7 th June 2013, 14th June 2013, 21st June 2013 and the 28th June 2013.
In the event that a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory if required.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The name and photograph of the winners may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoter, free of charge, unless the winner otherwise notifies the Promoter at the time of accepting the prize.
If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry, the entry will be discarded and a new winner of that prize will be determined by drawing a further valid entry in accordance with paragraph 8.
The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, death or personal injury suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) as a result of entering this competition, accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law). Nothing in these conditions restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winner and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this Competition or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent or effect of annoying, abusing, threatening or harassing any other person.
Once the prize has left the Promoter’s premises the Promoter is not responsible for late or damage sustained during the delivery of the prize.
If any prize remains unclaimed, a re-draw will take place on the 15th October, 2013 at the same time and place as the original draw. If this is required the winner’s name/s and state/territory of residence will be published on the Mr Rental website on the 22nd October, 2013 and they will be notified in writing.
If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory if required.
The Promoter is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Where this competition involves, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non-monetary consideration, entrants will follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
All entries will be the property of the Promoter. The Promoter may use the information entrants provide to assist in improving the Promoter’s goods and services and to contact entrants in the future in regard to the Promoter’s other goods and services. The Promoter may share entrant’s information with other contractors, agents or entities to assist in performing the above. If the entrant has marked the “opt-in” box on the entry form, the entrant consents to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database and the Promoter may use this information for future promotional and marketing purposes regarding the Promoter’s products including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging.
