Europcar – King Kong Promotion (“Promotion”) Terms and Conditions of Entry (“Terms”)

1. Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
2. This is a game of chance and skill plays no part in determining the Winners.
3. Entry to the Promotion commences on Monday, 10th June 2013 at 9am AEST and closes on
Monday, 8th July 11.59am AEST (“Promotional Period”).
4. No purchase is required to enter.
5. To enter the Promotion, entrants will need to like the Europcar Australia/New Zealand Facebook
page –

complete an entry form via the app with their full name, email address, daytime telephone
number and postcode.
6. Entrants that ‘refer a friend’ will receive one additional entry into the Major and Minor prize
draws for each friend (they have referred) that enters the Promotion.
7. The operation of the "refer a friend" mechanic is subject to the Spam Act 2003. Entrants should
only refer friends, family, colleagues and other individuals who they have a direct relationship
with, and who consent to receiving these types of messages. Referrals will not be eligible as
an additional entry into the draw if the referrer email address is not in a valid email address
format and/or an existing email address, and/or where spam software has been utilised to
generate referral email address entries and/or where referred email addresses have been
submitted multiple times from a unique referrer email address.
8. Entries generated by script, macro, bot, or other automated means are not eligible to enter the
Promotion to win a Prize.
9. There is one (1) Major Prize. The Major Prize is for two people including:

c. Two A-Reserve tickets to King Kong on Saturday 3 August, including a backstage

f. Three days Europcar car rental in a prestige vehicle (“the Major Prize”)
10. The total value of the Major Prize is up to $5,950 (For Victorian residents the value of the
major prize is $2,850).
11. There are four (4) Minor Prizes for weekly entry winners. Each Minor Prize is:
a. Two A-Reserve tickets to King Kong with one nights accommodation in a one
bedroom apartment at Ibis Melbourne (date subject to availability). Value is $497.
b. Two A-Reserve tickets to King Kong with one nights accommodation in a one
bedroom apartment at Ibis Melbourne (date subject to availability) Value is $497.
c. Two A-Reserve tickets to King Kong with one nights accommodation including buffet
breakfast at Novotel Melbourne on Collins (date subject to availability). Value is $617.
d. Two A-Reserve tickets to King Kong with one nights accommodation including buffet
breakfast at Novotel Melbourne on Collins (date subject to availability). Value is $617.
(“the Minor Prizes)
12. The total value of the Minor Prizes is up to $2,228.
13. The total value of the Major and Minor prizes is up to $8178.
14. The Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash and are not transferable.

17. The Major Prize draw will be conducted at the offices of Europcar Australia 189 South Centre
Rd Tullamarine Victoria 3043 at 9am AEST on Tuesday 9th July 2013. Winner will be drawn at
random and will be contacted by phone, email and their details published on Facebook.
18. The Major Prize winner will have their details published in The Australian Newspaper on
Friday 19th July 2013.
19. Should the Major Prize be unclaimed, a second chance draw will be held on Tuesday 23rd
July at 9am AEST at the offices of Europcar Australia 189 South Centre Rd Tullamarine VIC
3043. Winner will be drawn at random and will be contacted by phone, email and their details
published on Facebook, with the winners details published in The Australian Newspaper on
Friday 26th July 2013.
20. Entries that are illegible, inappropriate, incomplete or do not comply with these Terms are
invalid. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and
entrants as required (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to
disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and
Conditions or who tampers with the entry process.
21. The Promoter reserves the right to request the Winner provide suitable identification of proof
of age and identity prior to awarding the Major Prize.
22. The Promoter reserves the right to announce and/or publish the Winners’ name for publicity
purposes.
23. The Promoter may at its absolute discretion, suspend, cancel or recommence the Promotion if
(a) for any reason the Promotion is not capable of proceeding as planned; (b) if the Promotion
is corrupted or the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the
Promotion is affected; or (c) if the determination of the winners or delivery of prizes is
prevented or hindered by any event outside the Promoter’s control subject to approval by
relevant state regulatory authorities.
24. Except for any liability not excluded by law, entrants release and indemnify the Promoter from
and against all actions, claims and liabilities, that the entrant now has or in the future may
have against the Promoter for any loss, damage or injury (including any special or
consequential loss) suffered as a direct or indirect result of the Entrant’s participation in the
Promotion.
25. The Promoter’s decision in relation to this Promotion is final and binding on entrants and the
Promoter will not enter into any correspondence.
26. By entering the Promotion, entrants consent to their personal information being used by the
Promoter, the Franchise and/or its related entities for the purpose of conducting this
Promotion and notifying the Winners. All personal details of the entrant will be stored at the
offices of the Promoter. A request to access, update or correct any information should be
directed to that office.
27. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanism or electronic means that
allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries
submitted by that entrant invalid. The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries
from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person who tampers with or
benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the competition.

promotion are ineligible to enter.
