1 HOW TO ENTER
The competition commences on 01/07/2013 at 10:00am Australian eastern Standard Time(AEST) and concludes on 31/10/2013 at 5pm AEST. (“ The Competition Period”).
1.1 To enter the competition, entrants must answer, in twenty (20) words or less, the following question: “How would you spend $10,000.00 cash?”
1.2 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify an entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with the terms and conditions.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1 All entrants must be Australian residents only aged eighteen(18) years or over and must , if requested , be able to show proof of residency.
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Get Wines Direct Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child( whether natural or by adoption),parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
3. PRIZE
There is one(1) major prize consisting of : $10,000.00 (AUD) Cash incl. GST, payable by electronic funds transfer or cheque. Payment method shall be at the sole discretion of thepromoter.
3.1 In participating in the prize, the winner agrees to participate and cooperate as required in all editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winner grants the promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
4. HOW TO WIN
4.1 Each entrant who has entered the competition over the Competition Period and registered all details in accordance with clause 5.2 will be entered in the prize draw. All entrants will be automatically subscribed to receive the Get Wines e-newsletter and Get Wines Direct e-Daily Deals newsletters.
4.2 Entrants will be formally entered into the competition by logging onto the website at
www.getwinesdirect.com/wincash promotion, and completing the entry form with the required information. It is compulsory for entrants to provide their full name and email address to enter the promotion.
4.3 Entrants may refer eligible friends via email, however such referrals do not entitle the entrant to additional entries into the competition. Only one entry and written submission per person is allowed. In addition to clause 2.2, the promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify:
(1) Any entries that tamper with or attempt to tamper with the entry process;
(2) Any entries that the promoter considers manipulative, unrepresentative, inappropriate or disproportionate;
(3) Any individuals found entering who corrupt or affect, or attempt to corrupt or affect, the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the entry process.
4.4 This competition is a game of chance and skill plays no part in determining the winner.
4.5 The announcement of the winning entrant will be conducted at the promoter’s office located at 48 School Road, Maroochydore, Queensland, on 05/11/2013, at 10:00am AEST.
4.6 The name of the winner will be published on the promoter’s website and Facebook feed. The winner will also formally be notified by email. The winner will also be notified following the announcement on any of the promoter’s national press releases or any other appropriate email notifications
4.7 The promoter’s decision is final and the promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
4.8 The Promoter may conduct an unclaimed prize draw in the presence of an independent witness on 05/02/2014 at 10:00am at the Promoter’s office at 48 School Road, Maroochydore, Queensland. The winner of any unclaimed prize will be notified in writing in accordance wi9th the provisions of clause 4.6 herein.
4.9 All and any expenses incurred outside of the stated prize are at the cost and responsibility of the winner.
4.10 By agreeing to these terms and conditions the entrant consents to storage of their personal information on the specific companies’ databases and the specified companies may use this information at any time in the future for promotional and marketing purposes regarding their respective products or services including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging.
5. NO LIABILITY
5.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions,including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to any relevant state or federal legislation.
5.2 The promoter will take no responsibility for any prize lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
5.3 The promoter will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss(including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:
(i) During the draw
(ii) In the participation of the prize
(iii) As a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail
(iv) Due to the broadcast of any media relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any other persons
(v) Due to any other circumstances outside the promoter’s reasonable control
5.4 If, for any other reason, this competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, sublect to any state or federal legislation.
