Working intimately with these world leaders, from this unique vantage point, Cecil Gaines witnessed radical transformations in American history, from the civil rights movement to the Vietnam and Cold War – and how those changes affected his life and family.
Oprah Winfrey plays Gaines’ wife, her first big screen role in almost 15 years. The all-star cast also includes Robin Williams, John Cusack, Vanessa Redgrave, Cuba Gooding Jr, Alan Rickman, James Marsden, Jane Fonda, David Oyelowo and Leiv Schreiber.
