Find a Grandparent is a not-for-profit organisation that connects families with surrogate grandparents. There are many families in Australia living without the support of their relatives and are therefore looking for a voluntary grandparent to join their life. The surrogate grandparents who you find on the Find a Grandparent site are coming to you on a voluntary basis. They don’t replace babysitters but come regularly and want to establish a close relationship with your family.
If you are a young family without grandparents and you want someone mature in your lives to share the everyday joys of living with children, here is your chance to meet someone who could become a part of your family. Children will have exciting new experiences with their new granny or pop. They will also have another person to turn to when they have problems and can’t talk to their parents. Having a surrogate grandparent may give parents the chance to take a break from the stressful everyday family life and the whole family will have someone to share happy moments with.
