Terms and Conditions
All information on how to enter into this promotion forms part of these terms and conditions. Entries not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions will be ineligible.
Entry is free and is open to Australian residents 18 years and over.
‘Eligible senior or carer’ means a Seniors Card holder Australia-wide or a Carers Business Discount Card holder in Queensland. Employees of Senior Shopper and Quickbeds and their immediate family members are not permitted to enter.
To qualify for an entry into the draw, eligible persons must register or reconfirm their contact details to receive emailed communication from Senior Shopper by completing the online form at
www.seniorshopper.com.au/competitions between Tuesday 8 October 2013 and Monday 31 March 2014.
The following will render an entry invalid:
if the referred email address/es are not a valid email address format; or
if the referred email address has been generated through the utilisation of spam software; or
if the referred email address has been submitted more than two times from a unique referrer.
The first valid entry drawn will win a single prize of a $1000 Quickbeds voucher. The prize is not transferable. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be refunded or replaced. Travel must be booked with voucher value redeemed in full within twelve months of the voucher being sent. Voucher must be redeemed in a single transaction. The prize may be redeemed for accommodation. The recipient of this prize is responsible for all other travel costs, such as airfares, transfers, travel insurance, freight, excess baggage, meals, passports, extension of stay, additional passengers, spending money, tours and any other incidental expenses not stipulated in the prize inclusions.
The total maximum prize value is $AUD1000.
Accommodation validity dates may vary and may be subject to availability.
The competition commences on Tuesday 8 October 2013 and closes at 11.59pm on Monday 31 March 2014.
The winner will be randomly drawn electronically at 1.00pm AEST on Monday 7 April 2014 at 25 Baxter Street Fortitude Valley Qld 4006, with the winner being notified in writing by Wednesday 9 April 2014.
The competition will be drawn by the Marketing and Business Development Manager at Senior Shopper whose decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner does not need to be present at the draw in order to receive the prize.
Once the winner is determined and announced it will be published in The Australian newspaper on Monday 21 April 2014 and at
www.seniorshopper.com.au/competitions If the prize is not claimed by the winner within three months of the initial draw, a redraw will take place at 1.00pm AEST on Wednesday 9 July 2014 at 25 Baxter Street Fortitude Valley Qld 4006, with the winner being notified in writing by Friday 11 July 2014 and announced at
www.seniorshopper.com.au/competitions and in The Australian on Monday 28 July 2014.
The winner consents to his or her name, image and suburb of residence being used by Senior Shopper for marketing and promotional purposes.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
(i) inaccurate/incorrect transcription of entry information;
(ii) purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;
(iii) any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;
(iv) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website;
(v) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the competition;
(vi) electronic or human error that may occur in the administration of the competition;
(vii) any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the winner; or
(viii) any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant’s or any other person’s computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
The Promoter will not be liable for personal injury suffered during prize winnings.
These conditions do not affect, and are not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again.
