Bimbadgen's 2012 release Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot has been rewarded with Best Red Table Wine, Bordeaux Style at the 2013 NSW Small Winemakers Show. This Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot forms part of the Bimbadgen Regions range of wines and is the third release of this blend from Bimbadgen.
The Bimbadgen Regions range of wines showcase a diverse selection of varietals chosen from regions known or identified for their superior quality and expression of flavour.
This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the elevated cool climate region of Orange in New South Wales exhibits pretty aromas of blackberries, violets and tobacco leaf. Vibrant fruit flavours of blueberry and mulberry follow through to the palate with bitter chocolate and a touch of clove spice to finish. This wine is the perfect accompaniment to hearty beef dishes and is ready to drink now or be rewarded with short term cellaring up to 4 years.
The 2013 NSW Small Winemakers Show attracted more than 550 entries from over 90 wineries, representing all wine districts of NSW.
