Eligible purchases include using your People's Choice Visa card to make a payWave transaction, pay through direct debit, make a purchase online or over the phone or selecting 'credit' when using EFTPOS.

Terms & Conditions

1. The Promotion is called “People’s Choice Credit Union Shopping Spree”.  Information on how to enter and the prize forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

2. The Promoter is People’s Choice Credit Union, a trading name of Australian Central Credit Union Ltd ABN 11 087 651 125 AFSL /Australian Credit Licence ACL 244310.

3. The Promotion commences 8.00am 1 January 2014 and closes 11:59pm 31 January 2014, Australian Central Daylight Saving Time.

4. Entry is open to all members of People’s Choice Credit Union who have a Visa card and who meet the criteria set out in clause 5. Employees and contractors of People’s Choice Credit Union and their immediate families are ineligible.  In the event that the Visa Card is in joint names, the eligible entrant will be the person first named on that account.

5. To enter and be eligible to win, the entrant must be a member of People’s Choice Credit Union at the time of the draw and make an eligible Visa purchase during the Promotion Period; and register their entry at www.peopleschoicecu.com.au/shoppingspree during the Promotion Period. Member must be over 18 years of age at the time of the draw. No responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected entries.

6. For the purpose of clause 5, an “eligible Visa purchase” refers to:
- Any Visa purchases of any value made during the Promotional Period on a People's Choice Visa Debit card or Visa Credit card. Visa purchases are defined as any payWave transaction (contactless technology), direct debits set up using your Visa card number, making a purchase online, over the phone or where selecting 'credit' when using EFTPOS;
- The transaction must not be reversed or cancelled within 7 days after being charged.
Transactions involving a cash advance or an ATM withdrawal or which result from any fraudulent activity on your account are excluded.

7. An entrant who has an account in arrears at the time of the Draw is not an eligible entrant.

8. Multiple entries are permitted. Members will only need to register once, from then on all of their eligible Visa purchases will be submitted during the Promotional Period.

9. There is one (1) Harvey Norman shopping voucher valued at $4,500 to be won.
The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in prize value. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.

10. The prize draw “Draw” will be conducted on Friday 7 February 2014 at Level 1, 70 Light Square, Adelaide, SA at 11.00am Australian Central Daylight Saving Time. The winners will be determined by way of a random selection from a computer database containing all entries submitted from eligible entrants. The first eligible entrant drawn will win a prize.

11. Entries will be validated via sales and system reports.

12. The prize winners will be notified via post to the address associated with their account by Tuesday 11 February 2014. The prize winners will also have their name published in The Australian on Thursday 13 February 2014. Entrants are responsible for ensuring their contact details are correct.

13. If the prize remains unclaimed for 90 days from the draw date a redraw will take place on Thursday 8 May 2014 at 11.00am Australian Central Daylight Saving Time by way of random selection from a computer database containing all eligible entries. The redraw will take place at People’s Choice Credit Union, Level 1, 70 Light Square, Adelaide SA 5000. The winner will be notified within 5 days of the draw via telephone and letter, using the contact details held by People’s Choice Credit Union. In case of redraw, the name and suburb of the winner of the promotion will be published in The Australian on Thursday 15 May 2014.

14. The Promoter will comply with any applicable legislation regarding unclaimed prizes.

15. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

16. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter and its employees, officers and agents, exclude all liability (including negligence) for any loss, damage, personal injury or other liability whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained by any person in connection with this Promotion (including without limitation the redemption of the Prize).

17. If this Promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason (including but not limited to failure or malfunction of any computer equipment by reason of infection by computer virus, power failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical failures or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion), the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who undermines the integrity or fair running of the Promotion for other entrants, including by tampering with the entry process, and, after consulting with the relevant legislative authorities, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.

18. The Promoter collects personal information from all participants in order to conduct the Promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the participant may not participate in the Promotion or claim the Prize and their entry may be discarded. It is a condition of entry into the Promotion that the Winner consents to the publication of their name and city of origin in any advertisements or articles relating to the Promotion or the Prize and participates in any media releases which may include photographs of the Winner by the Promoter. By entering this promotion, participants consent to the use of their names and likenesses in this manner. The Promoter’s treatment and storage of personal information will be handled in accordance with all applicable laws in Australia.
