Universal Pictures Movie Promotions – LAST VEGAS Watch & Win Promotion CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry. Only entries which are submitted and comply with these conditions of entry may take part in this competition.
2. The promoter is Universal Pictures International Australasia Pty Ltd (A.C.N 122 951 099) of 3 Munn Reserve, Millers Point, NSW 2000.
3. Entry is open to all permanent residents of Australia except employees of the Universal Pictures International Australasia Pty Ltd, its agents and the immediate family of those employees. Entrants must be 18 years of age or over to enter.
4. Competition starts on Thursday 23rd January 2014 at 3:00pm AEST and ends Sunday 2nd February at 11:59pm AEST.
5. Entries can be lodged during the promotion period by the following entry mechanic;
To enter, participants are required to go to the Universal Pictures Australia Facebook page (Facebook.com/UniversalPicturesAU) and find the LAST VEGAS competition app. Participants will first have to Like the Universal Facebook page, then watch the film trailer and once the trailer has finished playing, must answer the question “Why do you and your friends deserve a legendary trip away?” in the entry field.
6. Winners will be determined by a panel of judges based on the most creative response.
7. There will be 1 (one) winner. The winner will receive the following:
a. 2 x 2 night stay in a Deluxe room at The Treasury Casino and Hotel, Brisbane, Australia
(Maximum 4 people) (Prize value: $1076).
b. Continental breakfast for 2 mornings included.
c. Parking for 2 vehicles at hotel site is included.
d. Dinner for 4 (four) people at any of the Treasury Casino’s restaurants (Prize value: $400).
e. 4 x return economy flights from winner’s nearest capital city to Brisbane (Prize value: $2000).

8. Prize values are based on recommended retail prizes and are correct at the date of printing terms and conditions (inclusive of GST). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any change in prize value between now and the ultimate date individual prizes are taken.
9. In the event that for any reason whatsoever the major prize winner does not or is not able to take the major prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter for any reason, the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize.
10. All entries must be received by 11:59pm AEST on Sunday 2nd February. No entries will be accepted after the close date. Entries must be correct, complete and comprehensible. Entries become the property of the promoter and will not be returned.
11. Winners will be judged at Universal Pictures Australia, 3 Munn Reserve, Millers Point NSW Australia at 10:00am on Monday 3rd February.
12. The winner will be the entrant whose entry is judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter to be the most creative from all entries received. The competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
13. The judges’ decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
14. Winners will be notified by email within 2 days of the draw.
15. To claim their prize, prize winner must be 18 years or over and may be required to provide supporting identification to claim their prize. If the winner, for any reason, does not take any element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the winner forfeits the prize, with no compensation or further liability of the Promoter.
16. The promoter (Universal Pictures International Australasia Pty Ltd) will be responsible for organising prize fulfilment:
a. Flights:
i. Prize includes four (4) return economy airfares from the winner’s nearest capital city to
Brisbane.
ii. The winner and their guests must travel on the same flights and depart from the same city
at the same time.
iii. The winner and their guests are responsible for all transfers to and from airports, including
the transfer to the domestic airport where flight to Brisbane will depart from.
b. Accommodation:
i. Hotel accommodation is for up to four (4) people in a maximum of two (2) Deluxe rooms
for two (2) consecutive nights (room only) at the Treasury Casino Hotel, Brisbane.
ii. At least one of the Travelling Party must be at least 18 years old in order to check in to the hotel. Any minor traveling companions (if any) must be accompanied by a parent or
legal guardian at all times.
iii. Hotel accommodations do not include incidentals, tips, telephone calls, movies, internet,
minibar or any other personal expenses incurred during the trip. Such expenses incurred
at hotel are payable at check-out.
iv. A credit card will be required by the hotel at check in.
v. Check-in is at 2:00pm and check-out is at 10:00am.
vi. Continental breakfast for 4 people is included in the prize. vii. Parking for 2 vehicles at hotel site is included in the prize.
c. Dinner voucher:
i. Dining voucher is valid for up to four (4) people to the value of $400.
ii. Dining voucher is valid at any Treasury Casino & Hotel dining outlet and must be utilised in a single transaction.
iii. Minor restrictions are applied to some restaurants, visit treasurybrisbane.com.au for details.
17. Other conditions:
i.Travel arrangements must be made through the Promoter (Universal Pictures
International Australasia Pty Ltd)
ii. All elements of the prize are subject to availability with no cash alternative and the prize
package is non-transferable and non-refundable. The winner cannot change, vary,
substitute or extend any element of the prize (in whole or in part).
iii. Specific travel dates and arrangements are subject to air travel, holiday, blackout dates, and other prize and travel restrictions. Trip must be completed within one (1) year
from the end-date of the promotion or prize will be forfeited.
iv. The prize is not available to be taken during Australian public holidays or school holidays.
v. Winner travel arrangements must be booked by 31 March 2014 and utilised by 31 March 2015.
vi. If winner is unable to fulfill prize during time period, or elects to partake in any or all portions of the prize with fewer than three (3) guests or no guest, the prize will be awarded to winner and each participating guest and any remainder of the prize will be forfeited and shall not be subject to further or alternative compensation.
vii. All elements of the Prize must be redeemed at the same time, and no changes will be permitted after confirmation of any redemption, winner forfeits the prize package with no compensation or further liability of the promoter. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize.
viii. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount.
ix. Prize is not available for use during special events or with special packages.
x. Accommodation and dinner voucher may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of Treasury Casino & Hotel.
xi. Entry to Treasury Casino & Hotel is subject to conditions of entry. xii. Guests must be 18 or over to enter the Casino.
18. The promoter and its associated agencies, are not liable for any loss, damage, personal injury or death whatsoever (including, but not limited to, any direct, indirect or consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with this competition, the use of a prize or any act or omission (whether negligent or not) of the promoter, its associated agencies or any person associated with any of them, except to the extent that any liability cannot be excluded by law.
19. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
20. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which changes the result or prevents or hinders it's determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the promoter may in its discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to any government regulation.
21. The promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if the promoter determines, in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.
22. All entries become the property of the promoter ("we/us") on receipt and we reserve the right to use any personal information provided by an entrant ("you") to enter you in the competition and conduct the competition in accordance with the Universal Pictures Privacy Policy found at
http://www.universalpictures.com/legal/privacy.html. If you do not provide us with all or part of the personal information requested we may not be able to enter you into the competition. You may access your personal information held by us by contacting us using the contact details provided in these terms and conditions.
23. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter or Facebook. You are providing your information to Universal Pictures Australia and not to Twitter or Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for the purpose of this competition.
24.If required and subject to any written directions given by a government authority, the Promoter will conduct an unclaimed prize draw on Monday 17th February 2014 at Universal Pictures Australia, 3 Munn Reserve, Millers Point NSW Australia. Unclaimed prize winners will be notified by mail by the Promoter.
