What's up for grabs? Your choice of one of our family's favourite books. What do you have to do to win? Choose which of our family's favourite books you'd like to give to a child.
Tell me, here and/or on facebook, which book you've chosen, which child you'd like to give it to, and why.
Include your email address so I can contact you if you win. (If you'd prefer not to include your email address in a comment, you can send me your email address or send a private message on facebook. Make sure you let me know which comment is yours!)That's it! I will choose my two favourite answers, one from the comments on this post and the other from facebook (where the commenter must also like the page), and reward the winners with their chosen book.
This competition is open to anyone, but delivery must be to an Australian address. So if you live in Australia, sweet. If you're overseas, but know a child in Australia you'd like to give a book to, feel free to enter if you're happy for me to send the book directly to the child in question. This competition is open until Sunday 23 February, 2014. Good luck! And please #giveabook to a child this International Book Giving Day.
How will you celebrate International Book Giving Day? Which book would you like to win, for whom, and why?
NB: This is not a sponsored post. This giveaway is entirely self-funded and self-managed. Apologies in advance for any delays in acquiring and sending selected books - some of our family's favourite books are surprisingly difficult to come by. To misquote Rachel Hunter, it probably won't happen overnight, but it will eventually happen. And you'll be kept informed along the way.
This is a game of skill. I will choose my two favourite comments (one from this blog post and the other from the facebook page), which may be funny, sweet, clever or a combination of all three. Or none of these things. I'll have to wait and see what tickles my fancy!
The winners will be notified by email on Monday 24 February, and will have three days to respond to the email before new winners will be chosen. Winners will be announced here on the blog on Sunday 2 March, both in an update to this post and in a new Top web reads of the week post.
