 Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries
 Murder under the Mistletoe.

All the Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries are just delightful. Featuring Essie Davis, this particular episode has them all up in the alps supposedly for skiing and partying, celebrating 'Christmas in July'.

As always, where  the glamorous  lady detective Phryne Fisher goes, murders happen and in this case 5 murders and one unsuccessful attempt but there is plenty of time to investigate who did it and why, as they  get snowed in.

The story concerns a  gold mine and revenge over the sale of it.

These Miss Fisher series  are filmed mostly in Melbourne, so its always fun trying to work out excatly where  that house  is situated or  what building is that one.

The  outfits for Essie Davis are always fantastic, but sometimes a wee bit over the top, especially in this episode, like having her walking through a  gold mine tunnel still dressed  in her white fur hat and   overcoat with all the white fur around the bottom.

Of course Detective Inspector Jack Robinson and his sidekick arrive on the scene before they are all snowed in, to help with the  investigation.

The storyline this time is a little slow and just a bit weak, but still a good fun DVD to watch now the weather is getting a bit gloomy.

 Wild at Heart.

I can remember seeing the very first series of this release quite some time back, and  thinking then that it was a  really enjoyable story.

It is set against the stunning backdrop of a South African wildlife park, and tells all about a family that decide to run this park although they have no real experience.

This release is the complete series Seven and comes to a conclusion with an additional feature length finale.

Unfortunately I haven’t managed to view this last  series, but the media release says they lose their  ‘ Leopards Den’ as the park is called, and are desperate to raise enough money for a fresh start.

In this series the story covers their ups and downs as their beloved  ‘Leopards Den’  comes to a close in an emotional coda, while their animals threatened  by   poachers for the very last time.
Go for it, give it a tweet!
