Following the tragic death in March of original principal singer, George Donaldson, the group will dedicate their Mythology Australian tour to their late member.
Donaldson’s death has stunned his fellow band mates, along with their fans. Known as “Big George”, he helped to establish the show’s trademark celebration of Celtic heritage. Emmet Cahill has re-joined the tour with Keith, Ryan, Neil and Colm to play tribute and honour their lost friend and colleague.
Celtic Thunder will visit capital city and regional markets across Australia in their 21 date national tour, visiting some areas for the first time.
The Mythology show includes a mix of Celtic Thunder favourites ranging from traditional Irish fare to international hits as well as original compositions.

Mythology is Celtic Thunder’s most impressive production to date. All Celtic Thunder principals feature prominently in Mythology, from haunting solo numbers to rousing ensembles.
The show also features original tracks written especially for Mythology, such as the opening number “Voices”. The performers are backed by a dynamic band, and the show features staging that mimics ancient Celtic lore.
