The French call it ‘la petite mort’ – the little death – that fleeting moment of sexual ecstasy we so often desire. A comedy about the hilarious and sometimes disastrous situations that occur in pursuit of that moment, The Little Death explores the sex lives of five ordinary Australian couples. From Maeve’s (Bojana Novakovic) sexual fantasy that Paul (Josh Lawson) struggles to fulfil, to Phil’s (Alan Dukes) newfound love for wife Maureen (Lisa McCune) in her quieter moments, the film takes an honest look at sex, love, relationships and taboo.
