The Greats, on now until February 14 at The Art Gallery of New South Wales, is one of the most significant collections of European master paintings ever seen in Australia.
The exhibition is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Australians to contemplate the extraordinary quality of over 70 masterful paintings and drawings from across four centuries on loan from the National Galleries of Scotland.
Each masterpiece – whether it be Titian’s luminous Venus rising from the sea (c1520-25), Monet’s whimsical Poplars on the Epte (1891) or Gauguin’s striking Three Tahitians (1899) – tells its own unique story.
These incredible works may never make their way down under again.  The exhibition is open for art-lovers and novices alike to contemplate the mastery of many of the world's greatest artists at the Art Gallery of NSW until February 14, 2016.
