For those of you who aren't in the know, Ben & Jerry's Open Air Cinema has made a name for itself as a truly unique experience for watching and enjoying movies – outside! Yes, you can actually watch movies in the great outdoors, just as dusk falls. Not only that, but you can also enjoy a licensed bar, which offers snacks, frosty beers, sparkly whites, Aussie reds and of course, Ben & Jerry's premium ice cream, frozen yoghurt and sorbet.
For the first time ever in Canberra, cinema goers will also be able to order ahead for their food and snacks using the Hey You app, so that they can pre-order and prepay for drinks and snacks ready to collect when they arrive and avoid the big queue for the candy bar!
And hey, what better film to enjoy in the wilderness than The Revenant, the incredible story about Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio)? It follows Glass on a hunting expedition in colonial America, when he is suddenly attacked by a wild bear and left behind by his comrades. The story that follows is an epic tale of vengeance and surviving against the forces of mother nature. The Reveant will show on Saturday February 20 at 8:30pm, on the Patrick White Lawns next to the National Library of Australia.
