What does it take to belong? As part of our Queensland Gives Christmas Appeal's focus on recent migrants and refugees, we're hosting a screening of Constance on the Edge, about a refugee's journey to Australia and what it takes to belong in a new land far from home.PrintEmailPermalinkShare
Filmed over 10 years, Constance on the Edge is the story of one refugee family's resettlement in Wagga Wagga. It is a deeply honest portrayal of what it takes to build a new life and follows Constance and her children as they navigate a different culture, and find their place in the community.
In this season of goodwill and renewal, the story of Constance and her family is a powerful reminder of the role we all play in building a sense of belonging for everyone.
You can win a double pass to our Constance on the Edge preview screening on November 29, on Saturday morning with Rebecca Levingston.
If you are a newsletter subscriber you will have already been invited to attend. If you aren't a newsletter subscriber, you might want to sign up here for exclusive invitations and competitions every fortnight.
Our Queensland Gives Christmas Appeal runs from 21 November - 9 December and gifts can be donated at our ABC studios, all ABC Local Radio stations and any Queensland Rail stations. Visit
