The finalists in our two summer holiday photo competitions have been selected!
All the entries from members of the community who travelled around the world on their holidays, along with a spectacular range of sunrise and sunset photos, have been narrowed down to six finalists in each category.
You can help choose the two winners by voting for your favourite photos in our online poll and also be in the running to win a two-night stay for two people at Peppers Blue on Blue Resort, Magnetic Island, just eight kilometres offshore from Townsville in tropical Queensland.
Take a look at all the finalists pictured below (click on any photo to view the gallery), then scroll down the page to enter the competition.
Votes from readers will be added to the judges’ choices and if your selections match the winning holiday photo and sunset photo, you will go into a draw to win the holiday prize.
Only one vote per person is allowed and voting closes on Monday, February 20 at 10am. Just select the photo you think will win each category and enter the identifying letter, along with your name and contact details.
The prize is two nights’ accommodation including full breakfast for four people, valid until December 15, 2017, subject to availability.
Magnetic Island is a 20-minute ferry ride from Townsville. Surrounded by secluded bays and sandy beaches, much of the island is national park, with a range of walking and riding trails. The island is also home to a bustling local community.
The Peppers Blue on Blue Resort overlooks a private marina. Relax by the outdoor lagoon pool or the resort swimming pool with stunning views of Mount Cook National Park.
Have a drink from the bar on the Boardwalk Deck and enjoy a meal at the Boardwalk restaurant. When it’s time for some pampering, the Endota Spa offers a wide range of health and beauty treatments.
The resort’s air-conditioned superior rooms have private balconies and free wifi.

The entry judged to be the best holiday photo will win a two-night stay at The Elements of Byron resort, set among 20 hectares of forest just a short drive from the Byron Bay township in northern NSW.
The winner of the best sunrise/sunset photo will win a two-night stay at historic The Reef House in Palm Cove, just 25 kilometres north of Cairns in tropical Queensland.
