Last year the Oasis Bakery team celebrated International Doughnut Day by giving away what they thought would be a sufficient 3000 doughnuts. But by the afternoon they had completely sold out, forcing them to make 3000 more.
You’d be forgiven for thinking 6000 doughnuts is generous enough, but Oasis has decided to come back bigger and better in 2018 to ensure no Melbournian goes hungry. This year it’s giving away 10,000 doughnuts. You read that correctly.
There’ll even be a choice between jam- and Nutella-filled doughnuts. The only caveat is there’s one hot, sugary ball of happiness available per person; but they are free, so just say thanks. The offer runs from open till close – providing they don’t run out again.
