Writing and mental illness make excellent bedfellows, for better or worse.
Sam Twyford-Moore’s The Rapids, is creative and courageous, an extraordinary personal memoir peppered with film and literary criticism, as well as family history. Sam is joined by Brisbane journalist and writer Andrew Stafford whose next book will detail his own struggle with mental illness and Krissy Kneen who has written about her struggles with depression in her memoir Affection. The panel will be chaired by Chloe Cooper, a writer who has also been frank about her own mental health issues.
