WIN: Great Moscow Circus brings its new show to Capalaba, Redland Bay.
THE circus is in town with a new show featuring death defying stunts and elite performers from around the world.
The Great Moscow Circus will roll into Capalaba and Redland Bay this month with its new extreme show, featuring high wire walkers, daredevil motorbike riders, aerial performers and more.
Circus spokesman Mark Edgley said the circus had visited the Redlands about five years ago and would be back this month with a whole new show.
"We're back on the road again with an unbelievable show," he said.
"It's called the Moscow Circus Extreme - it's got that real wow factor. We've got bike riders, the wheel of death, trapeze, balancing, juggling. The show goes for over two hours.
"The response so far has been fantastic."
About 25 performers, hailing from places across the globe including Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and South America, will appear in the show.
Mr Edgley said the team was like a family.
"We all live in caravans. It's like a travelling village," he said.
Since the first tour of the Great Moscow Circus in 1965, more than 7 million people have seen the show.
Its new tour opened in Toowoomba last month. It will show at Capalaba, behind the Capalaba Tavern, from February 11 to 21, and at Redland Bay, next to the Redland Bay Tavern, from February 25 to March 7.
Visit the Great Moscow Circus website for tickets or more information.
